External lecturer at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science

At the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, a position as an external lecturer is available for appointment in spring 2027. The place of employment is Odense. The appointment will as a rule be for ½ year.

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science offers a range of study programs within computer science, software engineering, artificial intelligence, data science, mathematics, as well as courses in oral communication and project management. The applicant is expected to be able to contribute to some or all of these programs or courses.

To be considered for the position, applicants are expected to have a master's degree in computer science or a related field, and either:

• Relevant practical experience at a high level, not obtained through a university scientific appointment, or
• Employment in a scientific senior position at another university.

Teaching qualifications will be taken into account in assessing applicants. In addition, emphasis is placed on documented practical experience from development of IT- or technology-based products and services, including knowledge of modern development and working methods.

An exemption certificate can be issued by agreement.

Applicants should attach evidence of the master's degree and a CV, which among other things provides information about previous teaching activities and relevant professional qualifications.

The appointment takes place under the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations for academics in the state with the accompanying circular to the protocol on the position structure for scientific staff at universities and the provisions for external lecturers, as described herein.
