Electronic technician apprentice – internship placement at Viborg Regional Hospital

Are you in training to become an electronics technician and looking for an internship?

We are currently seeking an apprentice for our medical technology workshop at Viborg Regional Hospital.

Our most experienced people are ready to train you thoroughly. You will become part of the medical technology technician team and will be trained in a broad range of hospital equipment – for example you will have the opportunity to repair and fix equipment such as:

• Respirators
• Defibrillators
• Medical pumps
• Equipment for patient monitoring
• Ultrasound equipment

You will be in close contact with both staff and patients at the hospital. It is an exciting world, and you will gain deep insight into how hospital equipment is involved in everything from a basic blood test to life-saving treatments.

You are currently enrolled in or have completed the introductory course of the electronics technician program. But beyond that it is equally important that you are willing to navigate a hectic hospital environment where tasks can change rapidly.

You will have a fixed placement at the medical technology workshop located at Regionshospitalet Viborg, Heibergs Allé 5A, 8800 Viborg, but during your internship period you will learn about all the specialties among the total of 50 medical technologists distributed across 6 of the region's hospitals in Region Midtjylland.

• We handle all the region's tenders, procurement agreements and contracts,
• We are responsible for goods logistics, from when the item is ordered to when it is delivered to the right place in the region, which also includes the region's central warehouse operated by a private partner,
• We procure, operate and maintain the medical technology equipment at the region's hospitals and advise the hospitals in the area.

In addition, we work toward sustainable development of the region. We incorporate the region's goals of lower CO2 footprint, less waste and more recycling in all our areas of responsibility. Together with the Center for Sustainable Hospitals, which is part of Purchasing & Medical Technology, we cover almost the entire task of Circular Economy in Region Midtjylland.
