Job title

Electrical engineering project manager

Location

Apply for the position

Do you want to combine your electrical engineering knowledge with responsibility for projects, customers and collaboration across disciplines? At Sweco you get the opportunity to drive projects that develop existing buildings and make their installations work in practice.

We are looking for an electrical engineering project manager for our Renovation & Installations department in Copenhagen. You will be responsible for translating customers’ needs into concrete solutions and ensuring progress from the initial clarifications to delivery. You will get close to both the technical decisions and the people who must make the project succeed.

A professional community with room for your ambitions

You will become part of the Electrical & Security team with 8 colleagues from different professional backgrounds. We work with consulting, design, renovation, discipline project management, technical construction management and supervision. Sparring and knowledge sharing are part of everyday life, and we help each other find solutions.

The team belongs to Renovation & Installations in the Division Existent Building and Specialties. Here we work across disciplines to develop and extend the life of existing buildings. The department's customers include among others Danmarks Radio, DTU, Region Hovedstaden, ATP Ejendomme and Carlsbergfondet.

With us you will have the opportunity to develop both your electrical engineering expertise and your project management. You will influence project solutions and a professional environment where you can discuss decisions, share experiences and learn from others.

Projects with electrical engineering as the driving force

You will become a project manager for a wide range of tasks within existing buildings. The projects have an electrical engineering core and are often solved in close collaboration with the department’s other disciplines.

You will contribute among other things to assignments on our framework agreements and take a central role in ensuring coherence between the client's expectations, the technical solutions and the project deliverables.

Your tasks will include, among others, to

  • Lead projects and coordinate the project team’s work through the relevant phases
  • Follow up on the project’s economy, schedule and quality
  • Clarify needs, solutions and priorities together with the client
  • Ensure coordination between electrical engineering and the other disciplines
  • Contribute with electrical engineering consulting and quality assurance of the project’s solutions
  • Handle changes and challenges so the project moves forward on a clarified basis

Your professional knowledge helps you ask the right questions and evaluate the solutions. At the same time you have colleagues to spar with when tasks require specialist knowledge.

You take responsibility and make collaboration work

You have a relevant background as an electrical installer, mechanical engineer, power systems engineer or equivalent and experience with electrical installations in buildings.

You have preferably worked with project management at a consultancy, contractor or client. Perhaps you already have responsibility for your own projects. Perhaps you have led larger professional deliveries and are ready to take on broader project responsibility.

We especially emphasize that you

  • Can translate technical problems into solutions and clear next steps
  • Work in a structured way and follow up on agreements and deliverables
  • Take initiative when something needs clarification or action
  • Create a good collaboration with customers, colleagues and other project parties
  • Know your strengths and actively use sparring when there is a need for it

Your professional foundation can, for example, be in lighting and power, switchboards or renovation of existing electrical installations. You do not need to know all our project types and tools from the start. The important thing is that you can contribute professionally and are eager to develop yourself as a project manager.

You communicate clearly in Danish, both spoken and written.
