About the job

At Dansk Træembackage you will become part of a specialized grinding department that grinds and maintains bandsaw blades for both our own production and for external customers. It is an exciting niche area where you will have the opportunity to learn a rare craft and build strong professional competencies.

You will work with setting up and operating grinding machines and handling saw blades in various sizes. The machine fleet consists of older, reliable machines, and therefore it is important that you want to learn the techniques behind them and enjoy working practically and solution‑oriented. In addition, tasks include welding and rolling of saw blades.

We are looking for someone who

• Has technical understanding and interest in machines, mechanics and crafts
• Has a passion for craftsmanship and is motivated to work within a specialized niche area
• Is eager to learn, patient and motivated to develop specialist knowledge
• Can work independently and take responsibility for your tasks
• Is adaptable and thrives on changing focus during the workday when it adds value to production
• Has the necessary physical strength to safely handle larger saw blades

It would be advantageous if you

• Have experience from a sawmill, the wood industry or have a basic understanding of wood
• Have experience from the metal industry or knowledge of how metal works
• Have experience with welding or rolling of metal and saw blades
• Have knowledge of working with rolling machines

But the biggest advantage is that you are eager to learn a new specialized craft and develop yourself within a field that only a few master.

Working hours

Monday to Thursday: 07.00 – 16.00

Friday: 07.00 – 12.30
