About the job
Employment consultant with competencies and a desire to work in a citizen-inclusive and holistic manner.
We are currently in the midst of an exciting transformation process, where the employment reform is setting a direction for new solutions and giving greater freedoms. A release that we will use to tailor the program to the individual citizen in a more flexible and real-world oriented effort. Our ambition is a labor market with room for all – created in close collaboration between citizens, businesses and Herning Municipality.
Who we are looking for
We need an employment consultant for the cash benefits group with broad professional foundation to independently manage a coherent and business-oriented effort – with a professional foundation as a social worker/social facilitator.
The target group is cash benefit recipients over 25 years old.
As our future colleague you should have the competencies and willingness to engage in the change process, and see yourself in a position where job counselor-, advisor- and mentor tasks are combined in one position.
Who we are
Job and Social Effort is part of JobHerning. We are a large workplace with many professional disciplines, competencies and areas of work.
In JobHerning citizen involvement plays a central role. We work purposefully to develop employment initiatives in collaboration with a number of other municipalities and researchers from Aalborg University at the Center for the Development of Citizen-Involved Employment Initiatives. Through dialogue, co-creation and individual pathways, the citizen's ownership and motivation are strengthened. The aim is to create more effective and meaningful pathways to lasting employment.
Our working culture is heavily characterized by collaboration, curiosity, dynamism, equality, adaptability and high professional ambitions. We value that this is reflected in practical work, collegial collaboration as well as in communication with citizens and external partners.
We emphasize a holistic approach, where relevant partners are continuously involved in a cross-disciplinary collaboration.
We are looking for a colleague who is
- Is a trained social worker or social facilitator
- Is professionally well grounded in the cash benefit area, or is well on the way and interested in learning it
- Believes in the citizens' abilities and their willingness to find their place in the labor market and can help citizens see their own resources
- Is inclusive and can show respect in interactions with citizens
- Can work in a structured manner, maintain an overview and ensure systematic coherence in the case
- Believes that reality works, and that paid hours from the start are motivating
- Has an interest in professional reflection, development and testing of new methods and initiatives
The tasks will mainly be to
- Fulfill the authority tasks connected to the citizen's path to employment, including preparing written material for use in case processing
- Coordinate, refer and collaborate with relevant partners
- Be proactive in the business-oriented work, and build strong relationships with local companies
- Perform mentoring tasks for the citizens you have on your case load
We offer
- A 37-hour-per-week position
- A work community with high engagement
- Great independence in the work with plenty of professional guidance and collegial sparring
- An informal tone in daily collaboration
- Flexible working conditions with freedom to plan work
- Introductory plan with a “mentor scheme” so you get a good start
