Do you want to advise utilities, municipalities and other stakeholders on strategies, project proposals and solutions that strengthen the role of district heating in the energy system?

We work with integrated advisory and in cross-disciplinary teams, where energy planning, design and project management work closely together, so our customers get solutions that are robust on paper and work in reality.

Your daily base will be our office in Aalborg, where you get close to both customers and projects. At the same time we are in the process of establishing and building the team locally, and you can therefore expect the team to grow significantly over the next few years.

About the position

As an energy planner you will have a central role in our district heating tasks – from the early analyses and strategies to project proposals and authority processes. You work closely with project managers and specialists, so the customer's needs are translated into a concrete and feasible solution.

Your main tasks will be

• Develop district heating strategies and plans in close dialogue with customers and stakeholders.
• Prepare project proposals and drive permit applications and permit coordination.
• Analyze energy consumption and production across technologies in district heating projects and sector coupling.
• Identify the customer's needs and assemble the right solution through your professional insight.
• Contribute to professional knowledge sharing and development of our methods and deliverables within energy planning.
• Depending on experience, interest and competencies; possibly also professional supervision, construction management and workplace safety coordination.

The right match

You thrive on creating an overview of complex problems and translating analyses into a decision basis that customers can act on. You have a structured approach, communicate clearly and collaborate naturally across disciplines.

We expect that you

• Have 5-10 years of relevant experience from the energy industry, preferably with energy planning and district heating.
• Have a solid understanding of district heating infrastructure, heat sources and central interconnections in the energy system.
• Have experience in preparing project proposals under the Heat Supply Act and handling authority dialogue Derogation processes.
• Are analytically strong, but also practically oriented regarding feasibility, risks and stakeholder considerations.
• Are collaborative and thrive in cross-disciplinary teams.

It is not a requirement, but we would like you to have experience with sector coupling, surplus heat, low-temperature systems or other technologies that influence the role of district heating in the energy system. In addition, experience with software such as EnergyPRO would also be advantageous.
