Committed bridge-builder for the elderly sector

We are seeking an engaged bridge-builder who, with a view to the individual, can contribute to getting more seniors involved in rewarding social communities.

The elderly area in the Municipality of Næstved is seeking an employee who can supplement the two bridge-builders we are fortunate to already have employed.

In the Municipality of Næstved we want to prevent loneliness and strengthen seniors' participation in communities. Therefore, funds have been politically allocated to develop our efforts and mindset for both home-dwelling citizens and citizens in nursing homes. We want to increase collaboration with civil society to involve more people in communities as well as strengthen the bridging between the individual citizen and communities, e.g. in associations, clubs, activity centers and cultural centers.

As a bridge-builder you shall

• contribute to building a bridge between citizens in rehabilitation and communities through a “hand-held” approach with the individual citizen.
• contribute to bridging established communities and the seniors in Næstved Municipality who have not found their way into association life.
• help make visible the broad range of opportunities in Næstved Municipality to participate in communities.
• build knowledge and relationships with the communities that are relevant for the target group.
• build relationships with relevant municipal actors
• support the development of the municipal activity centers so that they will in the future function as gathering houses for the local areas and involve more target groups.
• provide professional sparring on communities for seniors with colleagues and partners.
• systematically collect data.
• be in ongoing dialogue with civil society, activity centers, gathering houses, health initiatives and other relevant actors about coordination, collaboration and development.
• help develop the approach to future seniors and their wishes for senior life.

Your qualifications

• You have experience with associations or voluntary communities.
• You are good at meeting people at eye level and have a view to supporting the individual's motivation, strengths and resources.
• You are good at creating relationships and engagement.
• You involve and motivate civil society to get more seniors involved in communities.
• You should be good at navigating different tasks, frameworks and collaboration relations and be able to make things happen.
• You work with a high degree of independence and situational awareness.
• You should be able to work both individually and in a team.
• You are good at communication and dissemination.
• You have a good mood and contribute to a positive atmosphere.
• You are flexible regarding working hours, as some evening work is expected, and weekend work may occur.

The job requires that you have a driver's license.

The position is organizationally placed with District Southeast with an office at Samlingshuset on Farimagsvej, but bridge-builder roles cover the entire municipality, so expect a significant amount of travel.

Employment terms

The positions are 37 hours per week with employment on 1 November 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Salaries according to the applicable collective agreement.
