Are you curious about Pokémon and imaginative play?

Would you like to step into a universe filled with Pokémon, game characters and imaginative stories? Then you can become a regular support for an 8-year-old boy in Viborg, where play, curiosity and a good relationship are at the center.

About the task

You will spend time with an 8-year-old boy who loves console games and is currently especially focused on Pokémon. He has a lively imagination and invents his own games and stories inspired by the world of gaming, which he is happy to invite others into.

Your task is to be curious about his ideas, ask questions and engage in his play universes. You can also draw game characters, come up with stories or go to the playground. You also help with finding something to eat or preparing a simple meal.

The boy has infantil autism and may have difficulty with demands. He has motor and verbal restlessness and can react with anger when he becomes frustrated. Therefore he needs a staff member who can stay calm, be flexible and follow his initiatives.

About you

You have a playful and curious approach and are good at listening, asking questions and remembering details. You also have knowledge of console games and a basic understanding of the gaming world, so you can engage with the boy's interests.

You are patient, can remain calm in challenging situations and are able to create a safe relationship with room for the boy's own initiatives.

Working hours

The position is 26 hours per month, as a rule distributed over two shifts of about three hours per week.

The family is flexible regarding which days and times the hours are placed, and the working hours are agreed upon further.

In the beginning there will be shorter shifts, so the boy has the opportunity to gradually get to know you and build a trusting relationship.

Outside office hours there is always a staffed on-call phone, so you are never alone. Salary and pension in accordance with the National Agreement entered into between FOA and Dansk Erhverv. You are covered by DUOS’ liability and work injury insurance and health insurance is part of your pension scheme.
