Financial clerk with focus on project economics Do you have an eye for the finances in the projects – and a solid accounting understanding?

We are seeking an experienced and self-driven financial clerk who will have a special responsibility for the ongoing financial follow-up on our construction and civil engineering projects.

Your primary focus will be project and case accounting, where you closely collaborate with our construction and project managers to monitor the projects' finances from budget and ongoing follow-up to invoicing and completion.

In addition, you will play a central role in the monthly financial closing and together with the other finance function ensure correct and timely accounting.

You will work across the group’s companies, including IDEBYG A/S and Troels Jørgensen A/S.

Your primary tasks

Project- and case accounting

• Ongoing follow-up on the finances in our projects and matters
• Follow-up on project budgets, contribution margins and work in progress
• Follow-up on invoicing and financial deviations
• Dialogue with construction and project managers about the projects' finances and development
• Ensure that the necessary financial information and basis are delivered on time
• Follow-up on projects towards financial closing

Accounting and monthly closing

• Monthly close and quality assurance of the accounts
• Balance reconciliations and intercompany accounts
• VAT, filings and other accounting tasks
• Preparation and reconciliation of material for the year-end closing and auditor

In addition, you will be part of the daily finance function and contribute to ensuring good, efficient and consistent workflows.

We use E-regnskab from HallerupNet. Familiarity with the system is not a prerequisite – the most important is your financial and accounting understanding and ability to quickly learn new systems.

Who are you?

We imagine that you have a relevant financial or accounting education and several years of practical experience with accounting and financial follow-up.

Experience from the construction and contracting industry is a clear advantage, but you may also come from another project-oriented company where project or case economics has been an important part of your work.

We especially emphasize that you

• have a strong accounting and balance sheet understanding
• have experience with monthly closing and can work independently with your areas of responsibility
• understand the link between project budgets, costs, invoicing, work in progress and project results
• be proficient in Excel
• work in a structured way and have an eye for both detail and deadlines
• are proactive and persistent in your follow-up
• enjoy a broad range of contacts and collaborating with colleagues who do not necessarily have finance as their primary field

It is important to us that you take responsibility for your tasks, see them through to completion and respond when the finances or processes do not develop as expected.

IDEBYG A/S and Troels Jørgensen A/S are part of the same group with activities in the construction and contracting industry.

IDEBYG works with contracting tasks and insurance claims, while Troels Jørgensen works with contractor and civil engineering projects.

You will become part of our shared finance function and have broad contact across the companies, projects and the organization.

Employment: permanent position, 30–37 hours per week by choice
