Experienced business consultant in master data governance for Corporate Service

We are seeking a business consultant for the Analysis and Governance team in Corporate Services, who can help drive the work to ensure the quality of the business-critical master data in Copenhagen Municipality. A area in development and a complex system landscape

With more than 45,000 employees, a lot of data is generated every day, which must flow correctly and efficiently through a complex system landscape. Analysis and Governance is a cross-cutting function that works in the space between business processes, Enterprise Architecture and data. The perspective is outward-in on how citizens' needs through the administrations' work can be best supported with the use of relevant, complete and secure data in the systems.

Your function will be outward-facing, where you quickly must be able to gain a broad and deep understanding of business, decipher the system and data landscape and develop improvement proposals that can be realized and create value. You will work cross-functionally with optimization of business processes, system and data architecture in different parts of the municipality, but also inward to our own team.

A significant part of your path to success in the role rests on your desire and ability to want to improve things and actively help ensure progress.

Your primary tasks

• Prepare business analyses with a focus on data support, system functionality and interrelationships
• Drive and develop the work with master data governance in collaboration with management and skilled colleagues
• Ensure coherence between needs, methods, systems, processes and data through analyses, design proposals, decision briefs, project management and active change management in daily work
• Support the ongoing development and maintenance of our master data governance models
• Further develop the governance work around data
• Ensure that the municipality's data governance follows developments in the field, including handling data in AI contexts
• Provide service and advice to administrations, management and internal offices

Deep experience, can-do mindset and strong competencies at scale

Your educational background is not as relevant as the competencies you possess. It is a requirement that you have several years of documented experience with master data governance, preferably in a large organization. This job requires your ability to take a task and run with it, of course with good help and sparring from both management and colleagues. As you enter a complex area, you must be curious and able to see things from a broader perspective. It is important to be outward-facing and proactive, so you reach out to people yourself and do not wait for people to come to you.

We expect you to say yes to the following requirements

• Have a higher education degree or equivalent documented experience
• Include deep experience with business analysis, master data governance, financial management and Enterprise Architecture
• Have a pronounced analytical sense and can translate it into solutions
• Have worked with change management and project management in larger organizations and preferably in the public sector
• Are a skilled communicator
• Have experience facilitating meetings and workshops
• Have humor and are quick to laugh

Salary and employment terms

The position is a full-time role with start on 1 December 2026. Salary and employment terms follow the applicable collective agreement and negotiations with the trade union. Salary placement will be adjusted according to experience level. Depending on the agreement you will be classified as a fuldmægtig, specialkonsulent or specialist.
