About the job

Do you have knowledge of the rules in the accounting area in a public organization? And would you like to be part of an organization that does not resemble any other? Then you may be our new employee in the accounting team.

Have a daily routine that never becomes ordinary

In the accounting team we solve many diverse tasks and are in close contact with the organization. We do everything from ordinary accounting tasks, management of authorizations, reconciliations and control tasks to more ad hoc activities such as advice on technical accounting questions. In addition we continuously develop and improve the business processes that affect the accounts. Since all tasks are gathered in one team and we work with all facets of the state accounting, we have a good overview of everything within the accounting area.

We are seeking two new employees, where one primarily will sit in the bookkeeping and the other primarily will work with project-, control- and ad hoc tasks. Among others you shall help with the following tasks:

Bookkeeping

  • Answer questions of an accounting nature. For example regarding the use of the systems or questions about accounting rules.
  • Distribution of invoices
  • Handling of business trips
  • Reconciliations

Project- and control tasks

  • Plan and carry out the annual closure.
  • Control tasks to ensure errors are detected and corrected.
  • Participate in compliance projects aimed at improving our processes across the organization to ensure compliance in the most seamless way. This could be for example improving the process for business travel.
  • Diverse ad hoc tasks.

You will have a daily life with diverse tasks that you can help shape the content of depending on your interests and skills.

About us

You will work in close collaboration with the other employees in PET’s finance section, where the accounting team sits. Although our work is marked by the seriousness of the higher purpose, the tone is informal, and you will experience a unique camaraderie across departments and professional areas. We take pride in helping wherever we can, so we ease the administrative work of the operational units. We are diverse, and therefore we can make a difference.

About you

We imagine that you have experience from a public sector organization, where you have gained insight into and experience with:

  • Bookkeeping
  • Process for year-end closing (e.g. controls, posts posted in connection with year-end closing, technical closing in Navision, etc.)
  • The public sector accounting rules and the chart of accounts
  • The public sector systems: Navision, SDI and LDV

In addition you should be keen to work with many and diverse tasks. You should enjoy working both independently and with others depending on the task. We expect that you have a personality that takes pride in delivering good service, solving the tasks and at the same time ensuring that the state’s guidelines are followed.

Your educational background is not decisive. The important thing is that you have experience from another public sector organization that you can apply with us, so you can find solutions yourself when requested, or where there is a need.
