About the job

We are looking for a colleague who wants to work closely with the political level in the Health Council North Zealand and contribute to the major agendas in the transformation of the health care system. As a committee consultant you contribute to professional political support and to ensuring a strong link between the health council and the hospital's organization, as well as coherence and cooperation with municipalities and the regional administration.

The Health Council is a relatively new political committee that plays a central role in the implementation of the health reform and in the development of a citizen-friendly and cohesive health system. Secretariat support is provided in close collaboration between a local committee consultant at the hospital and a central committee consultant from the regional administration. As the local committee consultant you are anchored at North Zealand Hospital and contribute with insight into the hospital's operations, organization and collaborative interfaces.

A job with meaning and good opportunities for professional development

As our new colleague you will become part of the department's work with the health reform at political, strategic and administrative level. You will be employed in the Unit for patient- and citizen pathways, where we work within the most exciting agendas in the health sector right now, including the transformation of the health sector with implementation of task shifting, patient satisfaction and involvement and collaboration with municipalities on cohesive pathways and good discharges.

Your tasks will be

  • Prepare agendas and minutes, coordinate case workflows for the health council and ensure high quality in agendas, decision proposals and follow-up.
  • Support the hospital director and the executive board in relation to the health council work.
  • Be a sparring partner for the hospital's departments and staff in the preparation of cases for political decision-making.
  • Coordinate the collaboration between hospital, municipalities and the central regional administration on cases to the health council
  • Contribute with knowledge about the hospital's operations and organizational factors in the political support.
  • Handle meeting planning as well as practical tasks around the conduct of the meeting
  • Handle other ad hoc and secretarial tasks, including executive support.

We imagine that you

  • Have a relevant academic education, e.g. cand.scient.pol., cand.scient.adm. or similar.
  • Have experience with political support – preferably from region, municipality, ministry or similar.
  • Have a sense for wholes and connections and understand the importance of professional management- and politician-support.
  • Have strong analytical abilities and are able to reduce complexity
  • Have insight into or understanding of hospital operations, including understanding the interplay between clinic, leadership and administration.
  • Can navigate safely in the gaps within complex organizations
  • Thrive in a changing daily life with pace, many stakeholders and tight deadlines.

It is expected that you can work flexibly with deadlines right up to and after health council meetings.

We offer a position where you have good opportunities to independently shape the task solution, and for professional and personal development. You will join a strong professional environment where we emphasize sparring on big and small. We have an informal culture and a pronounced sense of humor.
