About the job

We are welcoming a new citizen and therefore we are looking for an engaged, professionally strong and innovative occupational therapist, who is passionate about working with citizens with brain injury.

Do you want to work with citizens in collaboration with other professions, and do you want to develop your own professional expertise and contribute with all you can in the development of Limfjordsbakken? Then you may be our new colleague.

Who are we?

With us the goal is to create the framework for a meaningful and independent life – with respect, humor and presence and in interaction with the citizen create possibilities for development, well-being and mastery of one's own life.

At Botilbuddet Limfjordsbakken the target group is adult citizens with an acquired brain injury or brain diseases with a moderate to severe cognitive and physical loss of function as a result. The citizens' needs range widely - from maintenance training to special care, pedagogical measures and support for participation in daily, social and cultural life at and outside the care facility.

We have 24 places, distributed across three departments. The citizens and their needs are very different, so your tasks are diverse.

Limfjordsbakken Care Facility works holistically with the citizens and we expect that you independently can handle tasks related to your professional field and that you value collegial cross-disciplinary sparring in carrying out the core task.

We are a multidisciplinary team consisting of social educators, pedagogical assistants, social- and health assistants, occupational therapists and physiotherapists.

What can we offer?

  • A permanent position of 37 hours per week, in mixed shifts and with work every 2nd or 4th weekend.
  • The opportunity to help develop Limfjordsbakken, focusing on the fact that the individual citizen is much more than their injury.
  • A dynamic workplace with focus on the development of a strong professional community, reflection, sparring and supervision.
  • An exciting, versatile and challenging job.
  • An organization in development, with good opportunities for responsibility and influence.
  • Focus on improving workflows and documentation, so it best supports the work with the citizens.
  • Engaged and positive colleagues as well as clear and trust-based leadership
  • Day and evening shifts as well as weekend work every 2nd or 4th weekend

We are looking for a colleague who

  • Focuses on ensuring that Limfjordsbakken enables and unfolds a full life for each citizen
  • Has experience in handling tasks with citizens where the complexity is large and exciting, as our citizens have very different support and care needs. Can develop and carry out therapeutic interventions for citizens with complex cognitive and physical challenges
  • Can support the citizens in structure and activities in daily life
  • Can actively contribute to both the mono- and the interdisciplinary development, supervision and sparring
  • Has experience and/or interest in everyday rehabilitation and work with citizens with acquired brain injury
  • Has knowledge and experience with neuropedagogy.
  • Works in an appreciative way with a focus on the citizen's self-determination
  • Knows yourself, and understands that you and your colleagues have different professional positions and standpoints, and use this to qualify and reflect on your own work, so Limfjordsbakken collectively develops the common professional practice.
  • Sees the individual person and their resources and possibilities and is able to create relationships that provide security and joy of life

What do citizens wish for?

We have asked the citizens what they want from their new occupational therapist

  • Someone who listens and shows respect
  • Someone you can laugh with, but who also takes things seriously
  • Someone who is happy to participate in activities and has energy for the day
  • Someone who can create a cozy and positive atmosphere

The citizen is the center of our work, and together with the citizens we work for as much independence in own life – and as much joy of life as possible.
