In connection with one of our experienced commercial advisors choosing to seek new challenges, we are looking for a new commercial advisor for the Housing Association Center, East.

About the position

The commercial advisor's client portfolio primarily consists of managed and some self-managed housing associations (cooperative housing associations, homeowner associations, garden associations and landowner associations), as well as partners in the form of property managers, etc. in Copenhagen and surrounding areas.

Advice must take place at a high professional level by actively involving the bank's relevant specialists and advisory tools in connection with advice and sales to the client portfolio.

Building and maintaining professional relationships with the housing associations' boards as well as the housing associations' daily administrators/construction case administrators and other important partners in the form of auditors, lawyers, etc. on a national level.

Compliance with the bank's applicable policies, instructions and objectives. In addition, responsibility for sales to, advising and risk management of customers in one’s own portfolio.

The responsibility includes, among other things

• Build, retain and develop customer loyalty
• Build and develop the customer portfolio through attracting new customers
• Sales and conveyance of the bank's products and service offers, both directly to customers and through partners, including professional property managers
• Credit management and risk monitoring
• Administrative tasks on housing associations e.g. ongoing updating of customer knowledge.

Tasks include

• Proactive advisory via the bank's advisory tools and involvement of relevant specialists
• Preparation and presentation of offers to customers with focus on profitability and compliance with the bank's customer, credit and pricing policy as well as applicable concepts, work methods and procedures.
• Prepare credit recommendations and ensure high credit quality in the customer portfolio
• Generation of leads to the bank's other business areas
• Proactive sales and relationship work in accordance with set goals to attract new customers, develop existing customer relationships and expand the customer portfolio.
• Participation in marketing of AL Sydbank through building and maintaining relevant networks as well as representing the bank externally
• Participation in fairs and planning and holding customer events, including evenings and weekends

About you

You have a business/finance degree such as a bachelor's, HD in accounting or finance, master's or similar. Alternatively, solid practical experience can compensate for lack of formal education.

It is an advantage if you have experience with or knowledge of financial solutions for cooperative housing associations, homeowner associations, garden associations and landowner associations. You may have lived in a housing association yourself or been a member of a board and thus gained insight into the associations' needs and challenges.
