Nutrition Hosts Wanted for the Nutrition Unit at Bispebjerg and Frederiksberg Hospitals

Are you eager to contribute the care and support for patients while also contributing as an important part of the nutritional effort and the overall treatment process? Then you may be one of Bispebjerg Hospital's new Nutrition Hosts?

Hospitality and the care around the food play a big role and must be handled by Nutrition Hosts based at the Nutrition Unit and implemented in phases in all ward areas in 2026. This means that new positions as Nutrition Hosts will be created to support patients in choosing the right food so their nutritional needs are covered during their stay. We start in November in several wards so you can be part of it from the start.

You will thrive in and see an exciting challenge in landing in an organization undergoing significant change, where many things are not yet in place. You will become part of the Nutrition Unit, and you will help to find the best solutions with our colleagues in the various departments. We are here for the patients, and they are the focal point of our decisions, initiatives, and workflows. We are ambitious and we always strive to do our best.

You will have daily interactions in the wards you are attached to, and you will help establish new interdisciplinary collaborations and new workflows with your colleagues from the other professional groups in the departments. You will also need to work closely with the clinical dietitians and in close collaboration with the kitchen to relay patients' feedback and wishes regarding the meals.

The role of Nutrition Host

• To be a host for the patients and create a safe framework around meals
• To motivate and support the patient to choose the foods and drinks they want and order them, based on each patient's nutritional needs as determined by the dietitians
• Overview of the patient's daily food intake and the possibility, together with the dietitians, to act on the patient's daily intake to ensure they meet their nutritional needs
• To perform dietary registrations
• Plating the meals and serving snacks
• To collaborate closely with dietitians and nursing staff to ensure optimal nutrition for the individual patient
• You should be eager to participate in an exciting and innovative change process, where you get a unique opportunity to help shape the role

About you

• Passion for hospitality and nutrition
• Having a good overview since there are many balls in the air
• You hold a professional bachelor’s degree in nutrition and health or another relevant education such as Nutrition Assistant
• You possess strong teamwork and communication skills
• You are motivated to engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with dietitians and nursing staff as well as meal hosts with the patient in focus
• You thrive working independently and are good at structuring and prioritizing your time
• You have lots of drive and a positive spirit
• You are approachable and can build good relations with patients

As a starting point, this is 33 hours per week.

To ensure all patients are nourished sufficiently seven days a week, Nutrition Hosts will jointly take part in a duty roster with weekend shifts every 3rd weekend and some holidays, and working hours will fall within 6.30-20.00.

You will have a centrally located workplace at Bispebjerg Hospital. We are organized under the FM Unit, and you will report to the Head of Nutrition Hosts, Tanja Krogsbæk

Salary according to the collective agreement for non-management staff in the health sector area 32.17.1
