About the job
When a manufacturing company grows, the link between production data, materials, planning and systems becomes increasingly important. That is precisely the development TRECO is in the midst of. With increased activity and complexity across four production units, there is a need to strengthen how the ERP supports production, from bill of materials and production planning to scheduling, purchasing, warehousing and material flow.
Business Central is already the central platform, but there is still significant potential to strengthen system support and create more integrated processes across the organization. Therefore TRECO seeks an ERP Manager who understands both ERP and the operational engine room in a manufacturing company. You will take internal ownership of the platform and help ensure that the system, data and production processes hang together and work in practice.
What you will own
You own the coherence between ERP and the daily production.
It means you must understand what happens all the way through the production flow, from production basis and bills of materials to planning, scheduling, procurement, warehousing and the actual production. When data do not match, a workflow ends in Excel, or the system does not support the way production actually functions, it is you, together with the organization, who finds the cause and drives the solution.
You will also own how Business Central is used and developed across TRECO. The goal is not more systems or more administration. The aim is, rather, to create an ERP foundation that the organization can rely on and that works in practice, close to the people and processes that use it every day.
You also have responsibility for
- drive improvements within ERP, master data and digital workflows.
- strengthen central production flows including planning, BOMs/bill of materials, warehousing and material flow.
- build and develop super users and strengthen ERP competencies in the organization.
- lead and develop an ERP Specialist.
- manage collaboration with external ERP partners and consultants.
Who we have in mind
You do not need to come from a classic IT career. In fact, it is probably not there that we will find the right profile.
You may as well have moved into ERP through production, PTA, production planning or supply chain. The crucial thing is that you understand both the system and what happens on the other side of the screen. You know what an incorrect bill of materials, an inaccurate lead time or bad inventory data means when production has to deliver.
It is necessary that you
- have solid experience with use, development or implementation of ERP in a manufacturing company.
- understand production and supply chain processes and their dependencies.
- have experience with process optimization and can translate business needs into concrete system solutions.
- can create momentum and get different parts of the organization on board with new processes and ways of working.
- have experience with Business Central or NAV.
It is an advantage, but not a requirement, if you
- have worked with master data, data discipline or standardization.
- have experience with user training and building a super-user organization.
- have had professional responsibility or personnel responsibility.
The hard part and the good part
The hard part: When a manufacturing company grows, processes and system support must keep up. You must be able to look across production, prioritize the right improvements and create solutions that both work in daily life and can withstand ongoing development.
The good: You get a real opportunity to shape how TRECO will work with ERP going forward. You are close to production and can follow the impact of your improvements all the way from bills of materials and planning to procurement, warehousing and production. When something improves, you can see it directly in the operation.
