Tender Estimator/Manager for Structural Concrete in Søborg

Do you want to help win more new projects in the area of Structural Concrete? And do you thrive when preparing and managing the tender process in close collaboration with skilled specialists and partners?

We are seeking a tender estimator/manager for our discipline, where we work with in-house production in the construction of shell structures and execution of concrete works on a wide range of projects. We are a well-established unit, consisting of about 60 clerical staff and 300 hourly workers.

A day in collaboration with skilled colleagues

You will have close collaboration with colleagues within the same area, in-house production of shell structures and concrete. At MT Højgaard Denmark we put the projects first, and the good collaboration is highly prioritized with your future colleagues within other in-house production areas, such as Earth & Utilities, Foundation, Civil Constructions and our colleagues in New Construction.

You will be based at our head office in Søborg. You will experience an informal and relaxed environment where you can always ask a colleague for advice and grab a cup of coffee for sparring on tasks.

We bid on both large and medium-sized projects in trades, main contractor and design-and-build contracts, as well as internal collaboration matters within the house. In addition we also bid on projects in different phases, from detailed fully designed tenders to rough estimates on project development tasks.

In your daily work you are primarily responsible for

• review tender material, assess opportunities and risks
• manage tender documents and amendment sheets
• ensure progress in the bid process
• obtain quotes for materials and subcontractors
• measure and calculate entire tender cases within shell structures and concrete, mostly in collaboration with colleagues in our other in-house production units and New Construction
• handle case handover and spar with regard to execution methods with our project and production managers
• assist project managers in planning and execution phases

Collaboration with colleagues on construction sites

Our tender estimators are anchored in a production unit, and therefore have a very close collaboration with the other colleagues who daily sit at our projects. This makes it easy to collaborate on tender projects, where our project manager stops by the office to become part of the tender process. We prepare the tenders together, so all our competencies can come into play.

We emphasize that our tender estimators know our project manager, and you are always welcome to visit the projects regularly to see how the orders we win are turned into reality.

About you

We are seeking an experienced tender estimator, or an experienced “production-minded” person who wishes to engage in bid work. You must have experience in the concrete area, and an understanding of in-house production, production rates, and selection of solutions to perform the task. If you do not have experience with calculation, we will of course help you get started with learning processes and calculation programs.
