About the job

Do you want a key role in creating quality education for future engineers?

Are you interested in educational development? And can you create dialogue, build relationships and keep track of parallel processes and tasks?

If Denmark is to find answers to the world's major challenges in areas such as climate and sustainability, it requires engineers with high professional competence. DTU educates Europe's most competent engineers. That goal can only be reached because we continuously evaluate and develop our educational programs, and you will as an evaluator in the Department of Education and Students have the opportunity to contribute significantly to this goal.

In 2028 DTU will submit its third accreditation application and you will become part of a newly established team of 10 colleagues who work focused on strengthening quality assurance and development of DTU’s education and teaching.

Tasks

In collaboration with a colleague you will be responsible for planning and conducting evaluations of DTU’s total education portfolio. Annually we typically carry out 10-15 evaluations. The process requires close dialogue with a wide range of stakeholders at institutes, the faculty, and in the Department of Education and Students, and includes planning and carrying out all phases of the evaluation from start-up to panel visits by international researchers and client representatives to the subsequent work with new visions for the education programs.

In addition you will take on a role in the ongoing development of the quality system and in strategic development tasks in the office, which in the coming years are closely linked to preparing for the upcoming institutional accreditation.

Your main tasks will be

About you

You are a skilled coordinator who thrives on keeping track of many parallel processes and tasks. You have a good overview and a distinctly structured way of working. You like meeting new people and starting new collaborations, and you use your good sense of the situation and understanding of the organization. A large part of our teachers and students are international, and you must be able to work in English.

In general you are curious about technical science and education. Both to understand and optimize the processes around education and to build relationships and create collaboration with researchers.

Ideally your CV includes

  • A master’s level education that has given you a solid analytical and methodological foundation
  • Experience with project management/coordination
  • Experience with optimization of processes and workflows
  • Experience with quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis
  • Experience with management and committee support
  • Experience with educational administration
  • Interest in the natural and technical scientific field
  • Good Danish and English skills, written and spoken.
  • An independent and investigative approach to collaboration

Your new workplace: All 120 colleagues in the Department of Education and Students work to administer and develop education at DTU – together we take a central role in developing engineering education at the highest international level and ensuring a safe and inspiring study environment for all.

You can look forward to moving in an inspiring environment where the ambition is to develop technology for people.
