Evening dishwasher for the canteen in the Danish Parliament – become an important part of the team behind the scenes

Then you may be our new evening dishwasher at Christiansborg.

Here you will be an important part of the evening shift and help ensure that the kitchen runs from start to finish.

Our everyday life

At Christiansborg you become part of the daily life behind the scenes in the Folketing. Here we work in historic surroundings, where meetings, political events and arrangements help set the agenda.

We make lunch and dinner every day, operate cafes and provide catering for events of all sizes. On busy days we have up to about 1,200 guests, so the kitchen is busy, and no day is quite the same.

You will become part of a team of more than 20 colleagues, where kitchen staff, waiters and the rest of the house’s employees pull together to give guests a good experience every day.

Your tasks

As an evening dishwasher you are responsible for the dishwashing running and that the kitchen is clean, tidy and ready for the next day. You will, among other things, be:

• Handle dishwashing and cleaning in the kitchen
• Keep order and ensure clean and inviting work areas
• Help with lighter practical kitchen tasks as needed
• Lend your colleagues a hand when it’s busy
• Ensure a good end to the day, so the kitchen is ready for the next day

Who are we looking for?

You preferably have experience from a kitchen, restaurant or canteen, but the most important is your attitude. You thrive with physical work and like a daily life where things move fast and where everyone helps. In addition we emphasize that you:

• Work independently and take responsibility for your tasks
• Are reliable and punctual
• Have an eye for order, cleanliness and quality
• Are service-minded, helpful and contribute with good humor to the cooperation

In short: We are looking for someone who likes to take action, has things under control and knows that a good kitchen only works when the whole team works together.
