Our evening nurse has taken a job closer to her residence and therefore we are looking for an engaged and professionally grounded nurse with a desire for evening shifts in one of Denmark's smallest municipalities, where community and co-management are high on the agenda.

As an evening nurse you will be responsible for a smaller group of experienced and very stable social and health care assistants and aides. You will also be a professional sparring partner for staff at care homes during the evening hours. You will play an important role in cross-disciplinary collaboration, where you will help qualify and coordinate citizen pathways across the entire municipality.

You will have the opportunity to further develop your professional competencies within selected areas and become part of a strong professional community.

Your primary function

• Complex and acute nursing tasks for citizens in their own homes – including collaboration with hospitals, general practitioners, emergency teams, etc.
• Maintain overview of the staff group and continuously lead and allocate incoming tasks
• Ensure coordination, continuity and coherence in complex citizen pathways
• Early detection and prevention of illness
• Professional sparring with other professional groups
• Ensure good professional documentation.

The practical

The appointment is 29 hours 5/2 on the Wednesday/Thursday shift and occurs in accordance with the current agreement with the Danish Nurses' Organization. Upon hire, references and a criminal background check will be obtained.

The nursing group in Glostrup Municipality consists of 28 nurses and social and health care assistants who deliver nursing in day, evening and night hours to citizens in their own homes and in the nursing clinic. Nursing is a self-referral unit with a focus on high professionalism and interdisciplinary collaboration.

We are part of a dynamic organization and are thus involved in shaping and developing municipal nursing – including establishing new collaborative interfaces with hospitals and general practitioners as well as ongoing task shifting from hospital to municipality. We also have a strong focus on ongoing competence development.
