About the job
We are seeking a nurse who wants to be part of a ward where relationships, calm and professionalism are the driving forces – and where the evening shift plays a central role in residents' secure everyday life.
On the Long-Term Ward E, the evening is a time when the pace slows down and presence is allowed to fill the space. Here you have time to do your work properly, create calm, support residents in transitions between activities and rest – and be the stable presence that makes a difference.
Who are we?
Long-Term Ward E is part of the Epilepsy Hospital Filadelfia and houses 9 residents with epilepsy, brain injury, physical disabilities and psychosocial challenges. They live with us, but are admitted patients – and that provides a unique framework for care, treatment and collaboration.
You will become part of a small, strong team from multiple disciplines, where we help each other, share laughs and stand together for both professionalism and wellbeing.
Long-Term Ward E is the emergency department for the whole Filadelfia, which means, among other things, that Long-Term Ward E is always contacted in the event of fire and cardiac arrest at Filadelfia. Here, the evening shift has a very specific role in handling the acute situation, in cooperation with colleagues.
The ward also has the on-call function outside the hospital’s opening hours – evening/night, weekends and holidays.
What will you get with us?
- Predominantly evening shifts
- 28 hours/week
- Weekend shift every 2 weeks
Safe start – regardless of experience
We take you as you are. Newly trained or experienced – you will receive a thorough introduction and support all the way.
You will receive, among other things
- The Epilepsy Hospital’s 6-day basic course in epilepsy
- 2 days of instruction in antiepileptics
- Participation in simulation courses in acute situations such as cardiac arrest and status epilepticus
- Ongoing sparring with experienced colleagues
- Mentor scheme
- An environment where no one stands alone
Our approach
We work neuro-pedagogically and with great respect for the individual. There is room here for both professional deepening and the small everyday moments that give meaning – a trip out of the house, a laugh, a safe moment.
You will become part of a multidisciplinary collaboration with, among others
- Two fixed neurologists
- Social and healthcare assistant trainees
- Participation in collaboration with other inpatient wards
- An engaged team with humor and strong camaraderie
We are looking for you who
- Work independently and maintain an overview
- Have good communicative and pedagogical skills
- Are curious about the epilepsy specialty and want to learn
- May have experience with neurology or geriatrics – but this is not a requirement
Would you like to be part of something special?
At Long-Term Ward E you get a workplace where humanity and professionalism go hand in hand. We look forward to welcoming a new colleague.
