About the job

  • become part of a strong professional community in home care

The Home Care in Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality is seeking a responsible evening nurse who wants to make a difference for citizens and at the same time be an active part of developing our nursing.

About the position

We are seeking a responsible evening nurse for the Home Care in Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality from 01.12.2026.

Your weekly working time is 29.75 hours per week with a 5/2 rotation, and you must always work Wednesday, Thursday and consecutive weekends.

In Lyngby-Taarbæk we work in units, and as a nurse you will have the responsible function in the evening. You will be in close collaboration with the other site and our emergency call unit.

The evening shift in Home Care in Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality consists of 7 evening shifts spread over two sites, Sennepsmarken and Bauneporten. Your base will be at Bauneporten.

We succeed together – with the citizen at the center.

As the responsible evening nurse you will be an important part of our shared professional responsibility for the citizens. You work independently and make professional decisions, but you are never alone. We believe that the best solutions are created through dialogue, sparring and collaboration across professions.

In our care, nursing is not only about individual tasks. We base ourselves on the citizen's overall situation, wishes and resources and work for a coherent citizen pathway.

We work with holistic care based on the new Elderly Act. This means, among other things, that we focus on the citizen's self-determination, continuity, flexibility and cohesion – and on seeing the whole person rather than just the individual task.

As the responsible nurse you therefore take a central role in creating coherence between the citizen, social and health care workers, your nursing colleagues, the emergency call unit and other partners.

Your role as the responsible.

As the responsible you are both a professional sparring partner and a coordinator for the evening shift. You have an eye for the individual citizen's needs, but also for the whole in the team. You help prioritize, coordinate and create overview when the situation changes – and you contribute to employees feeling supported in their professional work.

You will work in a everyday where many professional challenges are part of the daily, and where your ability to create structure, prioritize and collaborate is important.

We expect that you

  • take responsibility for the shared task – not just 'your own'
  • actively contribute to good, respectful and constructive collaboration
  • share your professional knowledge and seek sparring when needed
  • see the citizen as a whole person and have a view for changes in the citizen's situation
  • work with the citizen's self-determination and wishes as a natural starting point for care
  • can create overview and prioritize in a busy and changing everyday
  • dare to bring your professionalism into play and at the same time be curious about others' perspectives
  • contribute to a culture where we help each other and find solutions together
  • can plan and perform nursing in close collaboration with other professions.

We work multidisciplinary and rehabilitating

We work multidisciplinary and rehabilitating with a focus on a coherent citizen pathway. Coordination, teaching and supervision is a meaningful part of the nurse's role.

You will work closely with social and health care workers and focusing on changes in the citizen's health condition. We see it as a shared task to respond to changes, share observations and use each other's professional skills for the benefit of the citizen.

We work from the Elderly Act with holistic care and use the Cura care system.

Can you see yourself in the below?

  • You are a nurse with an interest in working with elderly citizens and have a minimum of 2 years of experience from home care.
  • You have solid professional competencies and are responsible, systematic and stable.
  • You feel comfortable having the professional responsibility in your work and in a busy daily life.
  • You create structure and act in acute situations and can re-prioritize tasks.
  • You have a flair for planning and documentation.
  • You have a driver’s license.
  • You can plan and exercise nursing in collaboration with other professions.
