Then you might be the one we are looking for as an Event Coordination Trainee at DTU Skylab.

Skylab

DTU Skylab is the university's vibrant hub for innovation & entrepreneurship with activities such as startup support, innovation courses, corporate collaboration – and lots of events! Our lively innovation environment with, among other things, workshops, laboratories, office facilities and event spaces, functions as a synergistic linking point between students, researchers, startups and industry.

Your tasks

During your trainee period you will work with all aspects of events, both the more creative tasks and the more routine, hands-on tasks. This includes:

  • Planning, development and execution of events
  • Assistance in connection with marketing of events
  • Budget management and procurement
  • Participation in the development of our event processes and systems
  • Ad-hoc tasks

You should be prepared for varying working hours, including evenings and weekends, in connection with holding events.

As an event coordination trainee at DTU Skylab you will be part of an event team with two event managers who will also be your mentors. You will have the opportunity to work independently with thorough guidance and professional support. Over time you will take overall responsibility for driving and executing multiple events simultaneously.

About you

  • You are independent, structured, initiative-taking and creative
  • You are good at keeping an overview of many tasks at once
  • You have a strong desire to help others succeed with their events
  • You enjoy working in a team and collaborating
  • You are inquisitive and curious
  • You speak and write Danish and English

Qualifications

  • A foundation course (EUD or EUX) from a vocational school that grants access to the main course of the event coordinator program, or
  • An upper secondary background (STX, HF, HTX), which must be supplemented with an EUS program of 5 weeks.

If you have completed HHX, you can start directly in the main course.

People are very welcome to apply if they are undergoing foundation course 1 or 2 on the event coordinator program and finish in January. If you are offered the position, you must present a completed examination certificate before the employment can commence.

If you are over 25 years old, the same entry requirements apply, but you will be covered by the rules for vocational education for adults.

Start date and salary

The trainee salary is according to the OAO-S joint agreement and the organizational agreement for clerical workers etc. (HK/State) entered into with the Ministry of Finance.

The position is expected to commence on February 1, 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.
