At Toftlund District School, Høllevang department, we have three positions available

• two maternity substitute positions in the early years, both starting January 2027
• a teaching position in the middle years starting November 1, 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter.

At Høllevang in Toftlund we are looking for a pedagogue, pedagogical assistants, and a teacher who primarily are well-grounded in themselves, patient and stable. You are a person who can set a clear structure/framework, and who thrives in the intersection between special educational expertise and the organization's and/or your own capacities.

Høllevang School is a special school in the Toftlund School District. Here there are also pupils from 0th to 9th grade. The two schools together with Agerskov School form the northern school district in the Municipality of Tønder.

The stage is set

You step into an exciting role in our middle years or in the early years. The teaching position is located in the middle years, and both maternity substitutes are in the early years.

At Høllevang we have pupils with special needs in mixed and smaller groups. There are different considerations and needs to accommodate, so it requires that you can handle both helping in, for example, mathematics, and getting a pupil out from the hiding place during recess. You know yourself and your own reactions and boundaries, and you stand solidly grounded in your professional knowledge.

You are rarely alone with the pupils with us, as we work closely in teams. We work in fixed teams in our district and are a group of ambitious colleagues who believe that the best pedagogy and didactics arise when we reflect both individually and together on our behavior. We pull as a team, so it is a necessary competence that you are positive about and see opportunities in collaboration between different professional groups. You preferably have experience working in Professional Learning Communities.

Your toolbox contains

• special educational knowledge – you have knowledge/experience in meeting pupils with and in challenges. Low arousal experience is an advantage
• resilience – you show care and stand firm if the waves run high, and you are not afraid to set professional, caring but clear boundaries and structure. In this work you can separate private life and work life
• relationship strength – it comes naturally to you to create the good relationship, whether it is at the adult level or the child level, and you can collegially both say "the difficult thing" and receive it
• collaboration at eye level – you master working both independently and in teams, and you are also comfortable in collaboration with parents, who may be vulnerable.
• professionalism – you are professionally proud of your subject and preferably have a varied toolbox within special education.

Salary scales

• Pedagogical assistant: 28,703 DKK – 32,074 DKK
• Pedagogue: 33,322 DKK – 38,242 DKK
• Teacher: 37,329 DKK – 45,048 DKK

Placement within the salary scale depends on experience, competencies and relevant education.
