We are looking for a B1-certified aircraft mechanic for an instructor position at our Elev Dok.

About us

F-35 Aircraft Maintenance Squadron is responsible for the maintenance and servicing of F-35 combat aircraft.

We handle everything directly related to the maintenance of the F-35, weapons and weapon systems as well as daily flight operations.

Fighter Wing Skrydstrup is entering an exciting period, as we already in 2023 received the first new fifth-generation fighters; F-35. This brings many new tasks and development opportunities.

F-35 Logistics Group plans and executes the logistical implementation and operation of F-35 fighter aircraft. The tasks range from developing logistics concepts to ensuring sufficient personnel with the right competencies and training to handle the new tasks.

About the position

As an aircraft mechanic in the Aircraft Training Element at F-35 Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, you will be responsible for training and educating upcoming aircraft mechanics as part of the aircraft mechanic training internship. You will therefore work in a field of tension between practical maintenance and the dissemination of technical knowledge.

Your primary tasks will include guiding students in aircraft maintenance, including both theory and practical exercises as well as planning and conducting teaching programs in cooperation with the instructor corps in the Elev Dok.

You contribute to making a tangible difference, as you, through your students, facilitate good solutions and evaluate the students' professional level and provide constructive feedback on their development.

You contribute to the development and updating of teaching materials and training programs and participate in practical maintenance work to the extent that it supports the teaching.

In your role you focus on applying the Royal Danish Air Force principles for flight safety and quality assurance. In addition, you also impart knowledge, skills and competencies to upcoming aircraft mechanics regarding the work environment and use of protective equipment.

You will join the daily production with particular focus on the students' learning and competence progression as aircraft mechanics.

About you

You are a trained aircraft mechanic with B1 or B2 certification and MAML or civilian AML (EASA Part-66). Preferably with experience on fixed-wing aircraft. You have solid practical experience with aircraft maintenance and a strong technical understanding.

At the same time you have an interest in conveying your knowledge and contributing to the education of upcoming aircraft mechanics. You manage to make complex technical topics understandable and thrive in a role where you guide and support students in their professional and personal development.

As a person you are patient, responsible and motivated by creating a good learning environment where professionalism and engagement go hand in hand

Knowledge of relevant aviation regulations and training requirements (Part-66/147 is an advantage) as well as a good knowledge of technical English both spoken and written.

In addition we value that you

  • Are structured and can plan and conduct teaching
  • Thrive in a role with both responsibility and collaboration
  • Present yourself as a role model for the students, both in aviation technical knowledge, skills and attitudes.

Employment terms

Employment is in accordance with the current Joint Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees Organizations – The Public Sector (OAO-S Joint Agreement) and the Organizational Agreement for craftsmen and technicians.

Depending on your qualifications and competencies, there is a possibility to negotiate supplements. There is an employer-financed pension scheme attached to the position.

The workplace is in Skrydstrup.

As an employee under the Ministry of Defence, you are subject to some special conditions. You must, among other things, be security cleared and maintain the security clearance during the entire employment relationship.

You as an employee have a duty to perform service outside the country, including at units in international operations with the aim of participation in conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peacemaking, humanitarian and other similar operations.
