Experienced Backend Developer for the energy domain – Taulov (Fredericia)

At Mjølner in Taulov we are seeking several experienced backend developers with strong technical expertise—and with relevant domain experience in the energy sector. We work with complex and mission-critical systems, and we need you who can contribute with technical weight and domain insight.

At Mjølner we develop software solutions for the energy sector with a focus on technically and business-critical systems. We are interested in profiles with experience in one or more of the following areas:

• The electricity transmission and distribution domain
• Market and business processes in the energy domain
• Software and data for critical infrastructure
• Secure software development, platform security and cybersecurity

About the role

As a consultant at Mjølner you will be part of a professionally strong environment, where you work closely with both customers and colleagues. You will have the opportunity to:

• Deepen your backend development as a craft
• Contribute to solutions with direct impact on mission-critical systems
• Be the go-to person in the team when complex problems need to be solved
• Work 2–3 days a week at the customer's site and the rest from the Taulov office or from home

We have regular traditions – including a Friday morning meeting and department meetings – where we share knowledge and foster community.

Our consulting assignments typically last 6–12 months and often develop into long-term collaborations. It gives you the opportunity for both professional deepening and building strong relationships with the client.

About the team

You will be part of our growing Taulov office with about 20 colleagues who work closely with our other locations, including Aarhus.

In the Business Unit – Energy you sit together with experienced developers and architects with in-depth knowledge of the energy industry and the electricity transmission grid.

What we expect you to bring

• C#/.NET, preferably more than 5 years' experience with newer frameworks
• Design and implementation of backend services and APIs
• Code reviews, automated testing and documentation
• Understanding of common DevOps practices
• Best practices in secure software development
• Thrives in cross-disciplinary projects with high visibility
• Creates stability and continuity in the task
• Works with a quality mindset

It’s a strong advantage if you also have experience with

• Azure, e.g. Functions, Service Bus, App Services and Azure DevOps
• Cloud-native technologies, e.g. Kubernetes, Helm, Argo, Prometheus and Key Vault
• Event-driven and integration-oriented solutions
• Microservice architecture as well as TDD and DDD
• Data solutions, including time-series data
• Curious about the energy domain and customer needs
• Dynamic and able to adapt to the task over time
