About the job

Do you want to be part of developing new visitation guidelines for the health service and at the same time drive and coordinate processes that support quality in assessment and treatment as well as appropriate use of the health service's resources?

The Danish Health Authority's Quality Institute (SundK) is seeking two experienced consultants with strong competencies in process management, project work and change processes who will help drive the development of visitation guidelines in a newly established team.

The Visitation Guidelines Team at SundK is responsible for developing and maintaining nationwide, clinically oriented visitation guidelines. The team was established in 2026 and currently consists of three consultants and a team coordinator.

You will play a central role in planning, coordinating and driving the work with visitation guidelines. You will work closely with various actors in the health service, including health professionals, representatives from patient organizations, administration and management, as well as other organizations and authorities.

Your daily work will include many varied tasks that can change from task to task. Your overarching responsibility in task execution will be to ensure collaboration and progress in the development of concrete visitation guidelines.

You will work in a cross-section between method and practice. This includes, among other things, that you will explore and understand the stakeholder landscape, establish representative working groups and familiarize yourself with scientific literature and data. An important part of working with visitation guidelines is to find the right balance between quality in the assessment and treatment of a given disease and the organizational and financial framework.

You will thus play a central role in translating complex interdisciplinary knowledge into solutions that work in practice and create value for both the individual patient and the entire health service.

You will work across disease areas in close collaboration with the team coordinator and colleagues in both the team and the rest of SundK.

Your tasks will include

  • Drive and support the development of concrete visitation guidelines, including planning, coordinating and following up
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of SundK’s generic visitation guidelines model and optimization of the associated workflows
  • Engage in dialogue with external actors in the health sector
  • Understand and familiarize yourself with knowledge within specific disease areas, including scientific literature, activity data as well as financial and organizational frameworks
  • Facilitate working group meetings and support the working group in the development of visitation guidelines
  • Draft texts and thereby contribute to the development of decision proposals, status notes, the visitation guidelines themselves, presentations, etc.
  • Participate in cross-cutting tasks in SundK where visitation guidelines intersect with other tasks
  • Contribute to further developing the relatively newly established visitation guidelines team

We imagine that you

  • Have a relevant healthcare- or social science education (e.g., cand.scient.san.publ., cand.scient.pol., cand.scient.san., cand.scient., cand.scient.med., cand.oecon. or equivalent)
  • Have solid experience with project management and coordination – preferably from change processes in the health service
  • Have experience in understanding and translating scientific literature, activity data, data on economy, etc. into decision-making processes
  • Have experience from the health service and thus good knowledge of and understanding for the health service's actors, organization, governance and decision-making processes
  • Have capacity and resource understanding and can translate this into an assessment of the visitation guidelines' consequences for the health service
  • Thrive in a role where you create overview and progress in complex tasks with many stakeholders
  • Thrive in development work that can sometimes change direction
  • Thrive in collaborating with many people across tasks and disciplines – both internally in our matrix organization and externally
  • Communicate clearly and precisely – both in writing and verbally

We offer

  • A meaningful position in a newer and strategically important SundK team
  • A varied workday with both operational and development tasks
  • A professionally strong and multidisciplinary working environment with good sparring opportunities
  • Flexible working conditions and good opportunities for professional development
  • A dynamic organization in development, where we as SundK help set a clear agenda for quality and prioritization in the health service

Salary and employment terms

We are seeking two new colleagues: one for a permanent position and one for a maternity cover from January 1 to December 31, 2027.

Both positions are 37 hours per week and employed by Region Midtjylland. You may be based at our offices in Copenhagen, Odense, Aarhus or Aalborg, where you will become part of a strong professional community with colleagues across the country and should therefore expect some travel activity.

Salary and employment terms follow the applicable collective agreement. Depending on your competences, experience, educational background and the content of the position there may be an opportunity for employment as a senior or chief consultant.

As of January 1, 2027 SundK will introduce a conflict-of-interest policy to support openness, transparency and trust in SundK's work with quality development and patient safety in the Danish health service.

As an employee of SundK you will be covered by the conflict-of-interest policy. Read more here: https://www.sundk.dk/nyheder/sundk-vedtager-habilitetspolitik/
