Experienced employee for strategic building maintenance in Allerød Municipality

Do you want to help ensure that Allerød Municipality's buildings remain healthy, functional and sustainable – now and in the future? We are looking for a professionally strong colleague with solid experience in strategic building maintenance and property management.

The position is 37 hours per week with expected start date 1 December 2026.

About the job

As part of the Property Team you will have a central role in planning, prioritising and following up on the municipality's building maintenance.

You will become a key person in the strategic development of our property portfolio and have the opportunity to influence how we work with long-term maintenance, energy optimization and sustainable operation.

Your tasks will include

• Strategic planning and prioritisation of maintenance efforts
• Building inspections and updating data in the maintenance system (DBD)
• Preparation of multi-year maintenance plans and budget estimates
• Management of maintenance projects – from planning to implementation including tendering, follow-up and payment of invoices
• Cooperation with technical service staff, consultants and contractors
• Assist/advice to institutional leaders, other departments etc. in relation to building questions
• Contribution to the development of the municipality's property strategy with a focus on sustainability and total economy

We are responsible for about 150,000 m² of buildings spread over around 100 properties, and you will have a strong influence on how we ensure a robust property portfolio and efficient building operation going forward.

About you

You have a solid technical or construction-related background – e.g., as a building constructor, building engineer, architect or similar – and you have documented experience with strategic maintenance, planning and management of renovation projects.

We emphasize that you

• Have insight into technical installations, maintenance principles and the latest legislation in the building area
• Can translate building data and operating needs into strategic and prioritized action plans
• Have experience in preparing smaller tenders and managing construction works, as well as ensuring good completion of these
• Work in a structured and analytical way with a view to both details and the whole
• Thrive in cross-disciplinary and cross-organizational collaboration
• Good at communicating and collaborating both within the team and across the organization and across disciplines
• Have financial understanding and experience with budget management
• Have a driving licence for a passenger car

About us

The Property Team consists of 14 employees plus 24 technical service staff who together ensure operation, maintenance and development of the municipality's properties. We work closely together, have a high professional level and an informal tone, where humor, sparring and collaboration go hand in hand with a professional approach to our tasks.
