About the job

We are seeing increasing demand for hydraulic analyses, particularly in low-lying and wetland projects. To meet the demand and lift our activities in Copenhagen, we are seeking an experienced hydraulic engineer who can lead professionally and help develop the competence area.

You will play a central role in a professional environment where independence, an overview and a willingness to share your knowledge are important qualities.

Your role

You will become part of a professional environment where you work with hydraulics in practice and contribute to solving complex projects.

At the same time you will play an important role in building our competencies in Copenhagen – including peer-learning and training colleagues in hydraulic modelling of rivers and low-lying projects.

Your primary tasks will be

  • Hydraulic planning of surface and drainage systems
  • System analyses and capacity assessments
  • Model development, calibration and validation
  • Mapping and handling of extraneous water
  • Data management and GIS-based analyses.

You will work closely with colleagues and clients to develop technically robust and well-founded solutions.

Your profile

We envisage that you

  • are a trained engineer in water and environment or equivalent
  • have +5 years of experience with hydraulic modelling
  • have practical experience with e.g. MIKE+ – possibly also MIKE SHE and SCALGO
  • have experience with VASP, which is used in many climate and low-lying projects
  • have knowledge of Dandas, GIS and data management.

We place emphasis on the following

  • are keen to share your knowledge and contribute to training colleagues
  • thrive in a role where you both solve tasks yourself and function as a professional sparring partner
  • are curious, quality-minded and take responsibility
  • are good at engaging in dialogue with both colleagues and clients
  • actively contribute to problem solving and use the professional resources around you.

With us, it is a natural part of the work to spar with each other along the way and actively use colleagues' experience in the projects.
