The job

Your professional skills must of course be in order, and you can handle tasks within IT audit and IT declarations. If you also have the will and ambitions, we have the tools and the desire to develop you and make you better, also within other services.

You will be responsible for managing the entire process from planning the audit to reporting, including performing and documenting the audit of general IT controls. This applies both when IT audit is performed as part of the financial audit for private and public clients, and when independent IT declarations are issued.

We meet our clients at eye level, and therefore it is important that you thrive with the professional challenges that come with close client contact. We help our clients navigate toward what creates the most value for them and their business, which requires commitment and a high level of responsibility in the role.

And even if you are already experienced, you should not be finished with developing yourself. We support your professional development through sparring, courses and relevant certifications such as CISA and ISO 27001.

Primary tasks

• ISAE statements: Planning, execution and documentation of assurance engagements under ISAE 3000 and ISAE 3402
• IT audit: Conducting IT audits as part of the financial audit for private and public clients.
• Client dialogue and reporting: Close client contact is an important part of the work at BDO. You will be in ongoing dialogue with our clients, where you identify needs, conduct interviews and communicate results and recommendations.

Opportunity to work with other areas

• Do you want to expand your professional toolkit? We also have exciting assignments in, among other things:
• ISO 27001 and ISO 27002, including implementation, maturity assessments and advisory.
• NIS2 and other regulatory requirements for information and cybersecurity.
• IT governance, risk assessments and development of security policies and procedures.
• Disaster recovery planning, disaster testing and testing of organizational and technical resilience.
• Other tasks within cybersecurity, data protection and IT compliance.
• You do not need to be a specialist in all areas. The most important thing is that you have a solid foundation in IT audit and assurance work – then we can build on that together.

Who are you?

We are looking for a colleague who already has experience with IT audit and preparation of IT declarations from an audit firm.

We therefore expect that you

• Have at least one and preferably several years of practical experience with IT audit and assurance tasks, including ISAE 3000 and/or ISAE 3402.
• Have concrete experience with planning, execution and documentation of audit procedures as well as testing of IT controls.
• Have been actively involved in the preparation of ISAE declarations and know the professional requirements for audit evidence, documentation and reporting.
• Can work independently with your tasks and are used to taking responsibility for both quality, progress and client dialogue.
• Have a good understanding of IT environments, information security and the risks and controls associated with them.

If you also have experience with ISO 27001/27002, CIS 18, NIST CSF, NIS2 or GDPR, we see this as an advantage, but it is not a requirement.
