Experienced Microsoft 365 and Cloud Specialist for a team focused on knowledge sharing and collaboration

About the Job

We are looking for an experienced and technically strong profile who can take part in the technical ownership of our Microsoft platform. You will work with Azure, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 in a role where you contribute to both daily operations and the long-term development of the platform.

In relation to the respective areas you will, among other things, work with

• Azure: Operations and development of cloud infrastructure, including governance of subscriptions, networking, security, automation and resource optimization
• Microsoft 365: Overall administration and development of the M365 platform, including compliance, security and cross-cutting functionality

In the position you will, together with the rest of the team, take responsibility for ensuring a stable, secure and scalable platform, while also being involved in developing and implementing common principles for governance, architecture and usage. This means, among other things, translating the business needs into technical solutions and ensuring that the platform is used consistently and in accordance with applicable standards and requirements.

You will work closely with both technicians, architects and business areas, and you will have an important role in creating coherence between operations, development and strategic initiatives.

The role includes both operational and more advisory tasks, and it is expected that you can take initiative and create an overview for the area.

If neither Microsoft 365 Admin Center, app- and Enterprise registrations nor the Azure portal scare you – and you also want to help set the direction for our Microsoft platform – then you should consider applying for the position.

Your tasks will include, among others

• Ensure stable operation, maintenance and further development of the Microsoft platform
• Work with Identity & Access Management with a focus on Entra ID
• Drive and develop governance, including principles, standards and best practices
• Create overview and structure in a complex system and application portfolio
• Contribute to architectural choices and technical direction for the platform
• Be a professional sparring partner for colleagues and partners
• Take ownership of tasks and initiatives – from idea to implementation

Your profile

We imagine that you

• have solid experience with Azure, Entra ID and Microsoft 365, including Identity & Access Management as well as Conditional Access in Microsoft Entra ID
• have a good understanding of governance, security and compliance, and can translate it into configuration, automation and documentation.
• can create structure in complex technical landscapes
• want to actively bring your experience into play and contribute to the professional development in the team
• thrive in a team where we share knowledge, consult with each other and succeed together
• are curious about others’ areas and actively contribute with your own professional expertise
• have experience from a larger or complex organization. Knowledge of a politically led organization is an advantage, but not a requirement

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment terms are determined in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Danish Municipalities’ Association and the negotiating-organizations.

The Cloud Infrastructure and Cybersecurity Team is part of Shared IT and Digitalization (FIDI) in Aarhus Municipality.

Shared IT and Digitalization is responsible for a large part of the shared digital foundation on which Aarhus Municipality is built. We deliver, operate and develop the shared IT solutions, platforms and services that enable the municipality's employees to solve their tasks digitally and securely.

It ranges from basic IT infrastructure, workspace and access to systems to common platforms, cyber security and digital solutions used across the municipality.

Our task is both to ensure stable and secure daily operation and at the same time develop the municipality's digital foundation in line with new needs, technologies and requirements. We do this in close collaboration with the rest of the organization and with a focus on creating solutions that work and create value across a large and complex municipality.
