Do you want to help shape the development of EWII's Databricks platform and translate new technological opportunities into solutions that create value in the business?

We are seeking an experienced profile who can combine technical understanding of Databricks with the ability to set direction, mature the platform and help both the business and the department get more value out of data. You will become the professional driving force behind the platform's development and a central bridge between data, technology and business.

About the role

• You will be part of the data platform team in the Data & Insights department, creating solutions together with the business
• An important part of the role is to translate new opportunities in Databricks into concrete solutions that create value for both the business and Data & Insights
• You contribute with experience, sparring and technical leadership that helps the team deliver robust solutions
• You will become a central driving force in our Databricks expert community and contribute to developing both the platform and the competencies around it.

Your key tasks

• Shape roadmaps and the technological direction of the Databricks platform in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
• Define and maintain platform standards, architectural principles etc. for the platform
• Collaborate closely with the team's Data Engineers and BI developers on concrete solutions and data products that support the business needs
• Keep up with developments in Databricks and assess how new features and capabilities can create value in EWII
• Plan and conduct workshops, training and other knowledge sharing
• Prepare guides, best practices and other material that makes it easier for users and developers to use the platform
• Contribute to maturing the business's use of data and strengthen self-service capabilities.

Who are you?

• Have experience with Databricks; preferably as a Data Engineer, Scientist or other hands-on use of the platform
• Can translate complex business and technical needs into concrete, scalable solutions
• Can collaborate with specialists, analysts, managers and business users with very different needs and levels of maturity
• Have experience with solution architecture, platform development or similar disciplines
• Are a strong communicator who can make complex, technical topics understandable to people at different levels
• Are motivated by creating shared direction, structure and good frameworks for the use of data.
