About the job

Join us in ensuring that critical health technology works when it truly matters. Every day, thousands of healthcare professionals rely on digital solutions to treat patients safely and effectively. That places enormous demands on the systems that bind the healthcare sector together.

In the upcoming Region of East Denmark, we work to create a healthcare system where technology supports high quality, patient safety and coherent patient pathways. The Health Platform is one of the most critical digital platforms in the region's healthcare system, and we are now seeking an experienced release architect who will help ensure that new solutions and improvements are implemented safely, efficiently and with a focus on user value.

You will become part of a specialized release team that plays a central role in coordinating between business, infrastructure, suppliers and technical specialists. Together, we must ensure that changes and new features go into operation safely and create value for clinicians, patients and the organization as a whole.

Set the direction for some of health care's most critical releases

You will join a professionally strong team of five employees with responsibility for release management, technical coordination and architecture-related tasks around the Health Platform. The team coordinates deliveries across the Health Platform's organization, the infrastructure area and our external suppliers to ensure coherent releases and stable operation of one of the health service's most important digital platforms. We continuously work on developing our processes and organization.

Therefore, you will also have an opportunity to contribute to further development toward a more DevOps-inspired way of working. We ensure thorough onboarding and relevant training based on your experiences and competences.

Be the link between technology, deliveries and clinical reality

Depending on your experience and profile you will, among other things, work with

  • collaboration with suppliers on planning, quality assurance and follow-up on deliveries
  • coordination of ad hoc deliveries and technical implementations across test managers, application coordinators and other stakeholders
  • collaboration with the infrastructure area on technical installations and platform components
  • participation in Change Board meetings and Release Advisory Board
  • architectural tasks related to release and environment management in collaboration with solution architects
  • contribution to performance- and stability-related activities
  • risk assessments and technical sparring with colleagues and stakeholders in the Health Platform's organization
  • handling and assessment of architecture-related inquiries
  • development of release plans, processes, governance models and guides

You translate complexity into stable solutions

You have a relevant IT educational background and/or equivalent experience. You have worked with complex IT landscapes where coordination, structure and quality are decisive for success.

We expect that you have experience in several of the following areas

  • vendor management and collaboration with external partners
  • release management and governance of complex deliveries
  • technical architecture tasks
  • testing and quality assurance
  • DevOps principles and modern delivery models
  • analysis and handling of technical issues
  • collaboration across large organizations and many stakeholders
  • Health Platform (SP)

Experience from the healthcare sector is an advantage but not a requirement.

You will succeed with us when you...

  • can build relationships and collaborate across professional disciplines
  • thrive in complex organizations and technical environments
  • can maintain overview, even when pace is high
  • work structurally and follow up on agreements and deliveries
  • are curious about new solutions and motivated to drive improvements
  • see the value in translating tech into tangible gains for users

Get a role with real societal impact

With us you will have the opportunity to work with solutions that have direct significance for patient care and the operation of the hospitals. You become part of a strong professional environment where collaboration, knowledge sharing and development are natural parts of everyday life. We believe the best solutions are created in partnership, and we continuously invest in both technological development and employees' competencies. You will get a job with great importance, high complexity and the opportunity to influence the development of the future digital health care system.

Be part of building the digital backbone in Region of East Denmark and Digitalization and Technology

Region of East Denmark and our corporate unit Digitalization and Technology will become among Denmark's largest public organizations for health and digitization. We develop, operate and support critical digital solutions and medical technology that daily help healthcare professionals deliver high-quality treatment.

The Health Platform is developed and managed by us according to agile principles based on the SAFe framework, where development, operation and improvements occur in close collaboration between IT specialists, clinicians and hospitals. As a release architect, you will be an important part of this cooperation and contribute to creating stable, safe and future-proof digital solutions for the benefit of patients and staff. In short: You must not only ensure releases.

You must help ensure that critical health technology works when it is needed and supports the treatment that patients and clinicians depend on every single day.
