About the job

Your upcoming main tasks

The Office for Development Projects (KUP) in Group IT must be strengthened with an experienced test manager who can join the already established Test team consisting of a couple of internal test managers and a number of external experts. Together, the team will take responsibility for quality assurance of our complex IT projects and a number of operational and governance tasks.

In order to secure clear frameworks for the test area, we need to complete and implement a common test strategy that covers all Group IT deliverables. On the development side, we start from the test strategy development for one of our development programs – the Schengen IT program, where tests are highly automated. On the governance side, there should be a particular focus on risk-based testing, environment and test data management.

As a test manager you will be responsible for QA in a number of concrete deliveries – ranging from large governance tasks to projects and programs. We also have ambitions to think of testing already in the idea and analysis phase, where the test manager has a facilitating role and supports business and governance regarding risk assessments and the formulation of acceptance criteria and test cases.

Together with the Test team you will help mature existing test data management and environment-staging set-up. There is also a need to get control of the format for data-driven test reporting on specific deliveries/releases and/or overall QA.

As a test manager in cross-cutting projects and programs you will be the link between test experts or business experts from the relevant stakeholders - the overarching IT organization in the EU (eu-LISA), the Danish Immigration Service, the Danish Repatriation Authority, the Agency for International Recruitment and Integration and other relevant Danish authorities.

About you

We expect you to possess the following competencies and experiences

  • Documented experience with IT project management for at least 5 years
  • Deep knowledge of risk-based QA and the recognized best practices in testing, preferably ISTQB qualified
  • Have documented experience with definition and implementation of test strategies
  • Familiarity with a technically set up for automated testing
  • Experience with test data and staging environment management
  • Setup of data-driven test reporting
  • Knowledge of agile development processes
  • Experience in building trust-based collaboration with clear rules of engagement
  • Good written communication in both Danish and English

It is also advantageous if you have knowledge of the following

  • Linux and Kubernetes technology
  • Preparation of business requirements and NFRs
  • Facilitation and change management

Furthermore, it is highly valued that you as a test manager can set the direction for quality assurance of deliveries and get others on board. You are solution-oriented, constructive with diplomatic tact, have a listening approach and an inclusive personality. We imagine that you have a structured systemic approach and maintain an overview. It is important that you are a good team player who can lift complex tasks together with your team.

Your future workplace

You will become part of Group IT, which organizationally is part of the Danish Immigration Service. In Group IT we are about 90 skilled and dedicated employees who are responsible for operation, maintenance and further development of the system portfolio used by the Ministry of Immigration and Integration.

In the Office for Development Projects (KUP) you will become part of the Development Unit with 12 dedicated, helpful and professional colleagues and a happy unit head.

We are centrally located in Copenhagen close to Kongens Nytorv. You sit close to your colleagues in an open-plan office, where there is ongoing sparring about work tasks in a dynamic and energetic manner.

We offer good development opportunities and great flexibility so you can balance professional ambitions and private life. In addition, you will be offered relevant continuing education and certifications where appropriate.
