About the job
More exciting tasks are on the way, and therefore we are looking for another skilled urban planner for our PLAN department.
At LIFA we experience an increasing demand for planning tasks, and we are therefore seeking another experienced urban planner who wants to become part of a professionally strong team, where collaboration, helpfulness and community are as important as professionalism.
If you thrive with responsibility, client contact and complex planning processes, and at the same time appreciate working in a smaller department where we lift tasks together rather than competing internally, then it may be you we are looking for.
That’s why it’s fun to work with us
In our planning team we are close to one another. We spar, help and develop each other, and we believe that the best solutions arise when we work together. There is no internal competition for tasks here, but colleagues who are happy to share their experiences and make themselves available when sparring is needed.
You will become part of a department with high professionalism, great freedom and short decision pathways. We have an informal tone, room for humor in everyday life and a strong focus on delivering good results for our clients through integrity and professional advice.
The department also supports LIFA’s other areas with planning-related clarifications, internal consultancy and sparring.
About the position
We are looking for an experienced urban planner who can drive planning processes from A to Z and navigate confidently among the many stakeholders involved in development projects.
You may have experience from both the public and private sectors and are therefore used to collaborating with municipal administrations, external subject matter experts, developers, landowners and citizens.
With us you will have responsibility for your own projects and the opportunity to influence both tasks, client relations and your own professional development.
Your tasks may include
- Preparation of local plans, municipal plan supplements, master plans, layout plans and other planning-related products
- Consultancy to private developers, municipalities and organizations
- Process management and coordination of planning projects
- Dialogue with authorities, citizens and other stakeholders
- Environmental assessments and planning-related analyses
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with LIFA’s other areas
We imagine that you
- Have a minimum of 3-4 years’ experience with urban planning
- Have worked with the entire planning process from idea to adopted plan
- Are professionally strong and able to work independently
- Thrive with client contact and relationships
- Have an eye for both quality, progress and economics
- Are a team player who contributes positively to the community
- Have a relevant education such as architect, surveyor, landscape architect, engineer, geographer or similar
We offer
At LIFA you will have the opportunity to work with exciting and varied projects across the country, while also having a strong influence on your own daily life and freedom to shape both tasks, client relationships and your professional development.
Your daily base will be at our office in Aarhus and with the possibility to work at our office in Vejle if that suits your residence better.
The position is initially full-time. If you wish for slightly fewer hours, we are open to a dialogue about a solution that suits both you and us.
In addition, we offer attractive terms of employment with pension and health insurance, as well as a strong collegial community where we help each other, share knowledge and combine high professionalism with an informal tone, good humor and room for life outside of work.

We are hiring from today and until October 18 .
We conduct interviews and engage in dialogue with suitable candidates on an ongoing basis, so do not wait until the application deadline. If the right candidate appears, the position may be filled before the deadline.
