Sheep and cattle need a part-time assistant

Sheep and cattle seeks weekend relief or student worker

Søvsø Friland is a small organic farmstead near Mønsted, Viborg, with activities in grazing and lamb production. We keep sheep with lambs, cattle for nature grazing, as well as various animal species on the farm. The animals graze together 600 ha natural areas and 200 ha arable land.

We are looking for an independent, conscientious part-time assistant who will help on certain weekdays and on weekends and holidays. You do not need to have experience in this type of operation, as long as you are curious, motivated and quick to learn. Our new colleague is honest, can admit mistakes and dares to ask for help and advice.

The tasks include supervision and feeding, as well as practical incidental work such as cleaning barns, mowing, brush cutting etc. Part of the work takes place away from the address, for which a vehicle will be provided, in which you drive out and tend the animals.

The job requires that you as applicant

• Are ready for practical work with your hands
• Have an interest in working with animals
• Can drive an ATV and a tractor
• Can work weekends and holidays
• Have a tractor license or category B driving license
• Speak Danish
• Can personally come to/from the meeting point Søvsøvej 22

The position is for an agreed number of hours between 3-15 hours/week. We are open to making it for example a part-time job outside normal working hours for a student worker or as a part-time position for e.g. a flex jobber or retiree, where hours can include weekday mornings.

Salary according to qualifications. Start date by arrangement.
