Vocational teacher for the passenger car technician education

As a subject teacher in the passenger car technician education at Learnmark Tech, you will be a central part of the team around Technology and Transport. You meet students in basic course 1 and basic course 2, who have different experiences, interests and goals. Your task will be to give them a solid professional foundation, spark their curiosity and support them in developing into skilled passenger car technicians.

You will be the department's only subject teacher. Therefore you have great freedom to plan your teaching and set the direction for the auto department at the school. You work independently with the daily teaching, but you are not alone. You join a team with teachers from the welding, industrial technician, warehouse and electrician areas. Together you monitor the students' academic and personal development and find good solutions across the subjects.

Your main tasks will be to

• plan courses and teach students in basic course 1, where the students briefly try all subject areas at Learnmark Tech
• plan courses and teach basic course 2 students in the training to become a passenger car mechanic
• develop the students' professionalism, motivation and talent
• procure materials for the teaching with subsequent cost allocation
• collaborate with colleagues on the students' learning and well-being.

Some tasks you can plan far ahead. Others arise at short notice. You will need an overview, flexibility and a calm approach when everyday life changes. You will also have the opportunity to shape the teaching and develop the auto department in line with the students' needs, the department's direction and the industry's development.

You know your subject and can engage young people

You are professionally skilled and want to use your experience in teaching. You must have a qualification as a passenger car mechanic/technician and be willing to undertake a diploma in vocational pedagogy. In this way you have a strong professional basis for linking theory to practice in your teaching.

You do not need many years of teaching experience. You should be eager to teach, meet the students with patience and create motivation through clear communication. Pedagogical understanding helps you see what each student needs and how you best support the student's next step.

About the job

Employment and remuneration are carried out according to circulars on salary for teachers employed on civil servant-like terms at institutions for vocational education. The position is covered by a new pay including a good pension scheme.
