About the job

We are busy and therefore seeking 2 family counselors/points of contact who will go the extra mile for vulnerable children and young people in Nyborg Municipality.

We are looking for skilled family counselors/points of contact who know that relationships are crucial when, together with both young people and vulnerable families, we set a course towards their hopes, goals and dreams for the future.

Who are we

Family House is part of the Social and Family department and carries out advisory and treatment courses as well as home-based interventions under the Childrens Act. Family House currently has 17 skilled and engaged employees and a manager.

We work with a preventive mindset, as we believe that children and young people in most cases need and want adults to grow up with their parents in an ordinary environment in lasting and healthy relationships. We are involved in their daily life and must be able to meet them where they are and at times when they, together with us, can become even better at all that works in their family.

Therefore we are flexible in task execution, both regarding professional opportunities, and when we are available to provide support. Wholeness and coherence as well as interdisciplinarity are the guiding principles for the way we meet and support families.

Family House is characterized by engaged employees. At the same time we have a good workplace with many opportunities for professional development. We have an informal tone of address as colleagues; we support each other in the form of mutual sparring, supervision and a strong willingness to find a solution, even when there are major challenges.

Work tasks under the Childrens Act primarily § 32, which can switch between

  • Pedagogical and practical work in the home.
  • Supportive and development-oriented tasks in the familys home.
  • Complex and diverse tasks that can include topics such as conflict management, help to create structure and safe environments in the home, understanding of diagnoses, etc.

  • Contact person duties for the child or the young person or the whole family, e.g., support for schooling, crime prevention.
  • Actively participate in solving the various tasks in Family House.
  • Treatment responsibility for a number of families, including follow-up on goals and interventions.

We are looking for colleagues who particularly

  • Can work in a motivating and resource-oriented manner with vulnerable children, young people and families in the homes.
