About the job

  • permanent position 37 hours per week

Are you passionate about working to support children and families toward a good everyday life?

We do this at the Family Centre and we are looking for a colleague

As we in Jammerbugt Municipality work targeted with bringing pedagogical tasks back in-house, we are seeking a family consultant for 37 hours per week.

Are you trained as a pedagog or social worker and passionate about preventive work with children and families' well-being? Then you may be the one we are looking for!

It is an advantage to have relevant experience or further education within preventive pedagogical work under the Children7s Act, but not a requirement.

As an employee at the Family Centre you will be expected to handle support tasks with children and their families based on a social-work assessment from a child and youth advisor in the Child and Family Counseling and a corresponding purpose, which is followed up as needed. Therefore we have close collaboration with the responsible advisor on the task.

In this position you will be involved in the handover of interventions from external companies to the Family Centre, including handover meetings with families and current support persons.

The tasks may include

  • Family treatment and family meetings
  • Parent guidance and coaching
  • Practical pedagogical support at home
  • Supported and supervised contact between placed children and their biological parents
  • Interaction observations and descriptions
  • Infant interventions

The Family Centre is a workplace with great professionalism and many dedicated employees. There is extensive experience and knowledge about working with children and their families. There is plenty of opportunity for sparring, and the professional pride in solving tasks is highly valued by both staff and management.

The staff group consists of different professional backgrounds and there are several further education opportunities in the house, which means that it is almost always possible to obtain the necessary sparring in the tasks. The Family Centre consists of three teams that meet weekly for coordination and sparring.
