About the job
Family therapist/social pedagogue with relevant continued education for the Children-, Youth- and Family Center Skive
Are you passionate about making a difference for children, young people and families in vulnerable positions? Do you have a social-pedagogical or social-work background, relevant treatment-focused continuing education and experience with family treatment? Then it might be you we are looking for as our new colleague at the Children-, Youth- and Family Center Skive (BUF).
BUF is the ambulatory operating area of the Family Department and offers counseling and treatment to children, youths and their families. We embrace a broad range of services from the first interventions around pregnancy and infancy to family treatment and youth support.
We are an interdisciplinary workplace with about 45 engaged employees with different professional backgrounds, who every day collaborate to create positive and lasting changes in the lives of children, youths and families.
With us, professionalism is high, collaboration is informal and humor is important. We help each other across teams and professional disciplines and see close collaboration – both internally and with authorities, schools, kindergartens, health services, voluntary organizations and civil society – as a prerequisite for success.

The tasks are broad and include both treatment courses, exploratory tasks and longer-term supportive interventions. The interventions are planned based on the individual family’s needs and in close cooperation with the family and other professionals around the child or youth.

- applying relevant treatment-oriented approaches and methods tailored to the child, the youth and the family
- actively and meaningfully involving the child or the youth in the intervention
- supporting the parents in creating positive and sustainable changes in the family
- adjusting the intensity and duration of the intervention continuously
- working closely with authorities and other professionals around the family
- involving the family’s private network and civil society when relevant.
About you

- can create strong and trusting relationships while maintaining direction and goals in treatment work
- can translate your professionalism flexibly in encounters with different children, youths and families
- thrive in close interdisciplinary collaboration and contribute actively to the joint task solution
- are curious about your own and others’ practice and contribute to professional reflection, feedback and learning
- have relevant experience and/or continuing education within treatment-oriented approaches and methods. This could be, for example, mentalization-based, cognitive or neuroaffective approaches, play therapy, infant therapy, ART, PMTO, DUÅ Home Coaching or similar
- can arrange your working time flexibly when the task requires it
- have a driving license and the option to provide your own car if needed. BUF has its own cars, used primarily for work.
