We are currently experiencing high demand from municipalities that need family treatment.

Your profile

You are a self-driven and robust family therapist with expertise grounded in an equal mix of practical experience and theoretical understanding within special education, cognitive behavioral therapy, and environmental therapy. Your toolbox is filled with pedagogical methods and tools that you use to strengthen both parental skills and the parent-child relationship.

You help parents identify their resources. You can supplement with both collaborative and individual exercises as needed in the programs, and you are comfortable in the role of an impartial mediator.

You work in a holistic manner, and it is natural for you to act as a link to the child’s other contact surfaces such as the school when needed. You work from a solution-oriented focus, where you manage to create safe and calm environments around you. Good written skills when you document your observations are important, and you understand the family's specific challenges as well as the action plan goals with which you are familiar.

We typically have standard programs, which of course are also tailored individually to the needs of the individual family.

About you

·       You are educated as a special educator and a certified family therapist, preferably with a cognitive psychotherapy background

·       Have experience with autism and ADHD diagnoses and preferably other cognitive and psychological disabilities

·       Are independent, calm and robust

·       Create structure for the family

·       Are empathetic and accommodating

·       Work according to the action plan goals

·       Create active involvement of the parents in training in boundary setting and structure for the child

·       Regulate behavior in interaction with the child’s and the parents’ social environment

·       Collaborates cross-disciplinary with e.g. school and institutions as needed

·       Is flexible regarding when family treatment takes place

·       Produces precise written journal notes focusing on the observational part
