You will have influence and room to develop

Our goal is to create coherent governance of the economy of the Danish Defence Intelligence Service (FE) across business areas and programs. As a financial partner, you will be part of the team that ensures that the basis for cross-cutting governance and prioritization in FE is in place.

You will assist management in the business areas with budgeting and follow-up, as well as with qualifying priorities, decisions and cases with financial content. You will apply your analytical skills to the cases, and with your communicative skills you can convey the cases confidently within the organization and to management.

You will furthermore get a cross-cutting role with the possibility of professional specialization, depending on your interests and your professional profile, with a view to ensuring standardization and increased professionalism across the finance function.

FE increasingly uses Power BI for financial management and analysis, which places higher demands on standardization of financial processes and data flows. Experience with similar BI systems will therefore be an advantage.

Overall, you will become part of a finance function where, together, we contribute to lifting the overall governance and support FE in having the best possible conditions to contribute to Denmark’s security.

You and your background matter

You have a relevant academic degree and experience with governance tasks in a finance function. Alternatively, you have held a more analytical and communication-oriented role. You have strong skills in communicating financial information, and you can use data in that context. Knowledge of public financial management will be advantageous.

• Ability to dive into details without losing overview and the ability to see cross-cutting patterns.
• Good communicative skills in writing and speech, including the ability to put yourself in the receiver’s place and ensure that the central messages are conveyed clearly and unambiguously.
• Good understanding of the quality and timeliness of deliverables.
• High personal integrity and natural assertiveness.

You are generally professionally curious and have an eye for optimizing processes and tools, also beyond your own tasks, and you have an end-to-end perspective on financial processes and reporting.

It is important that you are a good colleague, collaborative, and interested in us delivering as a unified team. At the same time, you must be able to take responsibility for organizing your own tasks and the solution to them, and independently navigate a large organization with many different perspectives on the task.

The Defence Intelligence Service (FE) is Denmark’s foreign intelligence service and works – both secretly and openly – to protect Denmark and Danish interests in a changing world.

Your salary package depends on your qualifications

Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the relevant trade union, depending on your educational background. In addition, you have the opportunity to negotiate salary supplements based on qualifications. The average working time is 37 hours per week including a paid lunch break. The position includes a pension scheme paid by FE.

As an employee in FE you are subject to certain special terms. It is a requirement that you can obtain security clearance and maintain the clearance for the duration of your employment. As in the rest of the Armed Forces, you have a duty to be deployed abroad for short periods.
