About the job
Do you have strong competencies in information security and ISO 27001, and at the same time want to work purposefully with IT and information security in an intelligence service? Then you are the one we are looking for.
FE’s task is to collect, analyse and disseminate information about international conditions of significance to Denmark’s security. The information is gathered from a broad spectrum of confidential sources, including electronic ones, which is why FE has many secrets that we will only share with the right people. The position is part of FE’s sector for data, IT and advanced technology, where we ensure that secrets remain secret, and you will contribute to that.
We challenge you so you can develop
The job we offer is demanding, but includes a wide palette of exciting tasks, where you will engage in close dialogue with colleagues within IT, new technologies, data handling, law and communication.
You will become part of a professional security department, where the working environment is informal and the pace is often high. In our everyday life it is often current security conditions and incidents that dictate the day and pace. In this department you will help to oversee the ongoing development and operation of information security work within the framework of ISO 27001 and applicable provisions for the Defence.
Thus, the tasks include among others
- Draft and maintain central policies,
- Communicate internal guidelines and assist the business with implementing appropriate technical and organizational measures
- Prepare risk assessments and management reporting
We look forward to receiving your application.

You are welcome to contact the local HR partner at [email protected] if you have questions about the position or want more information.
How to apply for the position
You must send your application and CV via the job posting, no later than 25 October 2026. We expect initial employment interviews to take place in early November and aim for employment from 1 February 2026. We encourage all interested individuals, regardless of personal background, to apply for the position.
As an employee in FE you are subject to some special terms. It is a requirement that you can be security cleared and maintain the security clearance throughout your entire employment. As in the rest of the Defence, you have a duty for short-term deployment abroad.
The workplace is primarily at Skydebanevej in Dragør, but is also expected to take place from other locations including Østerbro. In the long term the workplace will be FE’s upcoming domicile at Svanemøllens Kaserne.
Your salary package depends on your qualifications
Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the collective agreement between the Ministry of Defence and the relevant trade union, depending on your educational background. In addition, you have the opportunity to negotiate a salary supplement based on qualifications. The average working time is 37 hours per week including a paid lunch break. The position includes a pension scheme, which FE pays.
We value the strength of our diversity with deep professional specialisms and specialists, and we are a very special and operationally oriented knowledge organization with many different tasks, but common to them all is the knowledge base that our intelligence work creates.
We are not alone in protecting Denmark, but we are the only authority mandated to use very special means to uncover what other states and foreign actors are trying to keep secret. It makes sense for us to contribute to peace, safety and security for Danes both in the analog and the digital world, and we do this by uncovering, assessing, advising on and counteracting both current threats and evolving threats.
Your new workplace
FE is Denmark’s foreign and military intelligence service and works – secretly and openly – to protect Denmark and Danish interests in a changing world.
If you have experience with Regulations for the military security service; Defence Command Regulation 358-1 is also a plus – otherwise you will be properly introduced here.
Qualifications
We expect your qualifications to reflect several of the following
- Experience as an IT security adviser or assistant IT security adviser, preferably in a larger public or private company.
- Experience with operation and implementation of the ISO 27001 standard.
- General knowledge of IT and information security.
- and you can of course keep secrets.
Not least, you are approachable, engaged and ready to solve diverse tasks, even where they may be a bit outside your “comfort zone.” You are responsible and ask when in doubt.
Your approach to solving tasks is structured, and at the same time you have an eye for the big picture. You take pride in adhering to the rules but can also see solutions.
You are able to contribute constructively to a team, and you are not afraid to take responsibility and bring your knowledge and ideas into play. You proactively contribute to ensuring that the security level in FE remains high. You are motivated by solving society-critical tasks of great importance for Denmark, and you thrive in a daily life where there is sometimes a lot going on.
You may, for example, have a background in GRC, audit/revision or as an information security coordinator. We are therefore looking for both profiles with specialist competencies and those with competencies for coordination, overview and a holistic approach to task execution in the department.
You and your background are important
It is important that you have worked extensively with ISO 27001 and IT and information security for many years.
In the role you will need to use your strong professional knowledge, but we can also guarantee that much will be new for you. Therefore we are of course ready to help you get well on your way in safe surroundings, and you yourself must contribute to directing and solving your tasks in collaboration with colleagues with different backgrounds and competencies.
