FE seeks skilled colleagues to work with information security

Do you have strong competencies in information security and ISO 27001, and at the same time would you like to work purposefully with IT and information security in a intelligence service? Then it’s you we’re looking for.

FE’s task is to collect, analyze and disseminate information about conditions abroad of significance to Denmark’s security. The information is gathered from a wide spectrum of confidential sources, including electronic ones, which is why FE has many secrets that we will only share with the right people. The position is part of FE’s Sector for Data, IT and Advanced Technology, where we ensure that secrets remain secret, and you will contribute to this.

The job we offer is demanding, but it involves a broad range of exciting tasks, where you will engage in close dialogue with colleagues within IT, new technologies, data handling, law and communications.

You will join a professional security department where the working environment is informal and the pace is often high. In our daily life it is often current security conditions and incidents that dictate the day and tempo. In this department you will help maintain the continued development and operation of information security work within the framework of ISO 27001 and applicable provisions for the Defence.

The tasks include among others

• Draft and maintain central policies,
• Communicate internal guidelines and assist the business with implementing appropriate technical and organizational measures
• Prepare risk assessments and management reporting

In the role you will need to use your strong professional expertise, but we can also guarantee that much will be new to you. Therefore we are of course ready to help you get off to a good start in a safe framework, and you yourself must contribute to steering and solving your tasks in collaboration with colleagues with different backgrounds and competences.

You and your background are important

It is important that you have worked extensively with ISO 27001 and IT and information security for a number of years.

You may, for example, have a background in GRC, auditing or as an information security coordinator. We are therefore looking for both profiles with specialist competencies and with competencies for coordination, overview and a holistic approach to task execution in the department.

You are able to engage constructively in a team, and you are not afraid to take responsibility and bring your knowledge and ideas into play. You proactively contribute to ensuring that the security level in FE remains high. You are motivated by solving societal-critical tasks with great significance for Denmark, and you thrive in a daily life where there is sometimes a lot to do.

Your approach to solving tasks is structured, and at the same time you have an eye for the big picture. You take pride in complying with the rules, but you can also see solutions.

Not least, you are approachable, engaged and ready to solve varied tasks, even where they may be a little outside your “comfort zone.” You are responsible and ask questions when in doubt.

Qualifications

We expect your qualifications to reflect several of the following

• Experience as an IT security advisor or assistant IT security advisor, preferably in a larger public or private organization.
• Experience with operation and implementation of the ISO 27001 standard.
• General knowledge of IT and information security.
• and you can of course keep secrets.

If you have experience with the Provisions for the Military Security Service; Defence Command Provision 358-1 is a plus – otherwise you will receive a proper introduction here.

Your new workplace

FE is Denmark’s foreign and military intelligence service and works – covertly and openly – to protect Denmark and Danish interests in a changing world.

Your salary package depends on your qualifications

Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the collective agreement between the Ministry of Defence and the relevant professional organization, depending on your educational background. In addition, you have the opportunity to negotiate salary supplements based on qualifications. The average working time is 37 hours per week including paid lunch break. The position includes a pension scheme, which FE pays.

The workplace is, as a rule, at Skydebanevej in Dragør, but is expected to take place from other locations including Østerbro. In the long term the workplace will be FE’s upcoming domicile at Svanemøllens Barracks.

As an employee of FE you are subject to some special conditions. It is a requirement that you can obtain and maintain a security clearance throughout your employment. As in the rest of the Defence, you have an obligation to short-term postings abroad.
