Finance Assistant for General Ledger

Maybe you are at the start of your career. Maybe you already have a couple of years' experience from a finance function and are ready for the next step.

At Nic. Christiansen Gruppen we are looking for a Finance Assistant for our General Ledger team in Kolding. Here you will have your own areas of responsibility and become part of a larger Finance organization, where there are good opportunities to learn more and develop along the way.

You don't need to master everything from day one. Instead we expect that you are curious, take responsibility and want to become more skilled.

A everyday life with responsibility and room to make things smarter

In Group Finance you will be part of a professional environment with around 60 colleagues. Your closest team is General Ledger, where six colleagues work with the financial transactions across the group.

As a Finance Assistant you will be responsible for a number of daily processes. Reconciliations and payments will be a natural part of your everyday life, but the job is not only about getting the numbers to add up. We are also focused on how we can make our processes simpler and more efficient.

Your tasks will include, among others

• Record and reconcile the bank's incoming and outgoing payments
• Handle manual and automated payments
• Post and reconcile petty cash
• Investigate and resolve questions regarding bank transactions
• Contribute to developing and digitalizing our processes
• Ensure that daily tasks are completed correctly and on time

You will of course receive a thorough introduction to the tasks. As you become familiar with the area, you will have the opportunity to take on more responsibility and develop further within Finance.

Who are you?

We imagine that you have a relevant economic or financial education. Experience from bookkeeping or a finance function is an advantage, but we are also open to you who are relatively new to the labour market and have the right professional foundation.

You have a fundamental understanding of accounting and preferably knowledge of VAT. It comes naturally to you to work in a structured way, and you care that your work is correct.

At the same time you may be curious about how we work. If you notice something that can be made simpler or smarter, we would like to hear it.

As a colleague you are helpful and take responsibility for your tasks. You can work independently, but you also value having a team around you where people ask each other for advice and help out when needed.
