Some economic partners perform budget follow-ups. Other economic partners create governance, direction and calm in one of the municipality's most complex areas.

We are looking for the latter type.

The health and elder care area in Slagelse Municipality is in the midst of a significant development, where national reforms, demographic changes and the desire for robust and meaningful budget models require financial strength, strategic foresight and the ability to deliver decision-making foundations that can be felt. Therefore we are seeking an economic partner who not only knows their craft, but masters it.

You will be employed in the Department of Finance and Governance, which is a central staff function. Here you will get a strong professional environment, a steady partner in tasks for Health and Elderly, and a setup where you can work in depth with models, analyses, follow-ups and management tools that are actually used. Your responsibility becomes central and visible

You will take on a role where you

• drives budget planning and follow-up with high precision and strong data quality
• develops and refines budget models, demographic calculations and tariffs
• works closely with the manager and key individuals in the area. You are their primary financial sparring partner

You will become part of the Center for Economics, Digitalisation and HR, where our Department of Finance and Governance offers a strong professional environment with almost 50 colleagues, ample space to grow and a culture where you can be skilled and have fun together.

You are the profile we are looking for if you

• have solid municipal experience as an economic partner, economic consultant or equivalent
• work analytically, structured and deliver quality, even when deadlines are tight
• can communicate complex financial points so leaders can actually use them
• thrive in a politically driven environment and know how to build trust and relationships

The position is full-time with start on December 1, 2026.
