About the job
Do you have strong accounting competencies, a sense of precision and experience in making finance and administration hang together? And are you motivated by both secretarial support and calculations close to governmental tasks? Then you may be the colleague we are looking for.
We are looking for financial-administrative staff for a permanent position of 37 hours per week. The recruitment is happening because several employees in the administration have sought new challenges or are retiring. Therefore, we need to strengthen and maintain the capacity and the specialized competences in the administrative staff so that we can continue to ensure stable operation, high quality and timely task completion.
You will be part of the administrative staff in the Center for Family. Your role will have a clear emphasis on accounting and financially administrative tasks, secretarial support as well as calculation and administration of compensation benefits and lost earnings. You will work closely with managers, advisors, professionals and other partners and contribute to ensuring that decisions, calculations, settlements and meeting processes are handled correctly, consistently and on time.
About the Center for Family
The Center for Family works with initiatives for children, young people and families - both preventive measures and support for children and families with special needs. The center is as of 1 October 2026 divided into 3 areas – cf. organizational chart – with a staff function that handles administrative and financial tasks across the organization.
Your tasks
Your primary tasks will be to
- calculate and administer compensation benefits and lost earnings under the Child Act, including ensuring correct documentation, follow-up and ongoing adjustment
- handle accounting and financially administrative tasks, including control, posting, reconciliation, documentation and follow-up
- follow up on budgets for internal providers and handle and follow up on inter-municipal settlements
- handle the secretariat support for the Children and Youth Committee and CenterMED, including meeting planning, coordination, quality assurance of material, agendas, minutes and follow-up
- take care of other administrative and financial tasks in the team as needed and within competence.
The tasks require a high level of numerical understanding, confidence in calculations and an eye for both details and context. You must be able to work systematically with rules, deadlines and documentation and at the same time thrive in a coordinating role with many interfaces.
We imagine that you
- have a relevant office or finance education and preferably experience from a municipality or another public organization
- have strong accounting competencies and work confidently with financial calculations, reconciliations and data
- have experience with – or solid knowledge of – calculation and administration of compensation benefits and lost earnings
- have experience with secretariat support and can plan, coordinate, document and follow up
- can translate legislation, rules and concrete information into correct and transparent calculations
- are structured, thorough and quality-conscious and have an eye for deadlines and documentation requirements
- have good digital skills and quickly can get to grips with new systems and workflows
- can work independently, prioritize and take responsibility for tasks from start to finish
- collaborate professionally and service-minded across disciplines and organizational levels
- communicate clearly and precisely – both orally and in writing – and maintain an overview when there are many tasks and deadlines.
It is an advantage if you have experience with municipal finance and professional systems such as KMD OPUS and DUBU as well as tasks in the children and family area. The most important thing, however, is that you have a solid financial-administrative foundation and both the desire and ability to learn the specialized area.
We offer
- a central role in an administrative team where your financial and administrative competences make a tangible difference
- specialized tasks with compensation benefits and lost earnings, as well as opportunities for professional development
- a varied workday with both steady operational tasks, secretariat support and contact with many professional groups
- engaged colleagues who share knowledge, collaborate and help each other
- opportunity to contribute to robust workflows and good administrative solutions
- flexible frameworks within applicable rules and agreements.
Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.
