About the job

We are seeking as of December 1, 2026 a new colleague for ‘Team Pension & Sygebehandling’. This team mainly handles cases regarding personal allowance, health allowance and extended health allowance as well as cases of assistance with sick care under the provisions of the Act on Active Labour Market.

In the team there will be 3 colleagues and the intention is that each of you has your own caseload.

Even though you have your own caseloads, we are very attentive to helping each other daily when things get tight. You will therefore be part of a team where correct case processing, meeting deadlines and an excellent collaboration are highly prioritized.

You must be comfortable with citizen contact, both by phone and in person, as advice and guidance to citizens is also part of our everyday work.

In the team there will be ample opportunity for daily sparring, just as we hold weekly case meetings, where together with the department's professional coordinator we discuss workflows and complicated cases.

We have an ongoing focus on optimizing workflows and our way of doing things. We therefore also expect you to contribute positively to this and bring your knowledge and experience.

Our expectations of you

We expect you to be engaged, proactive and to take your share of the responsibility for our success together.

We also expect that you have experience from the benefits area and that you are familiar with KP and preferably also KY.

You must be able to deliver proper and dignified case processing, where the citizen is central.

You must be able to translate complicated legislation into concrete and individual decisions. Here it is especially important that you are skilled at expressing yourself both in writing and orally in a simple and easily understandable manner.

We have close cooperation with the center's other departments and we know that we can only succeed together. Therefore we expect you to contribute positively to the good collaboration both in the department and across the entire center.

Your education

We emphasize that you have a relevant educational background within public administration. This could, for example, be a public administration diploma, kommunom, social worker/mediator or a bachelor’s degree in public administration.

We offer

We offer meaningful work with good colleagues who value the positive working environment and who look after one another.

You will be employed in an organization in ongoing development, which you can help shape the building of.

Salary is negotiated and set according to your qualifications.

The position is 37 hours per week.

Flexibility

We aim to be a flexible department that accommodates the individual employee's needs and life situation.

We have introduced Flexible Friday across the center. This means you can work Monday to Thursday only. Friday you can take off if you have accrued hours. You can also work from home, or you can choose to come in to the office.

In addition to Friday there is also a possibility for remote work on one of the other days of the week, provided the operations permit it.

About the Benefits Department

The Benefits Department consists of 14 good colleagues spread across 4 teams, including the Cash Assistance Team, the Control Team, the Flexible and Sick Pay Team and Team Pension & Sick Care. In addition we have a housing-social employee, a professional coordinator and a department head.

We are all passionate about the benefits area and we value good wellbeing at the workplace.

Our core task is that we succeed when both citizens and businesses experience a dignified case processing, where the financial safety net supports citizens' path to full or partial self-sufficiency.

We are anchored in the Center for Social and Employment.
