About the job

Do you want to use your financial expertise close to managers who are responsible for the municipality's schools, day care and PPR? Can you create an overview of the finances, advise managers, the head and the director on budgets and priorities. Do you thrive with responsibility and freedom, and can you both keep track of the details and lift your gaze when finances need to be translated into good decisions?

Our current financial consultant is moving to another position in the municipality, and therefore we are looking for an experienced colleague for the school- and day care area.

Perhaps it is you we are looking for to our team of skilled financial consultants.

In addition to an exciting job with good development opportunities, you will get a job with responsibility, flexibility and opportunities for professional sparring.

”You will get a fantastic workplace where learning and collaboration are prioritized, and the management is very good at giving freedom with responsibility.”

  • Andreas Kjærskov Nørlev, BI- and Analysekonsulent in Økonomiafdelingen

About the job: Solid financial management and a view to development

You will become part of our team of financial consultants, where there is a good mix of experienced forces and younger consultants with different backgrounds.

You will become the primary financial consultant in the school- and day care area and will be responsible for the ongoing financial management and sparring with the leadership of the subject areas. In the department you have colleagues with insight into the school- and day care area, whom you can draw on for professional sparring.

Specifically you will

  • Handle budgeting, financial follow-up, accounting closure and the ongoing operation in the school- and day care area.
  • Maintain close dialogue with the director, managers, leaders and key staff and equip them to make decisions on a solid financial basis.
  • Develop, implement and maintain forecast models.
  • Carry out tariff calculations for your subject areas.
  • Work with demographic adjustment and related resource models in the school- and day care area.
  • Generally support, develop, and challenge the subject areas.
  • Participate in relevant cross-cutting financial and analysis tasks.

You will have a lot of freedom to structure your work as it fits best, also when it comes to home working. To ensure good collaboration across, we have agreed common office days, just as you will also have office days and meetings at your subject areas.

About you: Structured and persistent with a curious approach

We imagine that you come with a relevant financial education and have experience with financial management from a municipality, another public organization or from a larger private company. You thrive with taking responsibility and being a financial sparring partner, and you can ensure quality in the detail and maintain an overview.

You do not necessarily need to know the school- and day care area in advance. Instead we expect you to be curious and want to immerse yourself in both the finances and the professional reality behind the numbers. It is important that you thrive with close collaboration and can build good relationships with managers and staff.

We particularly emphasize that you

  • Have a strong analytical sense and a good eye for both the whole and the detail.
  • Have good communication skills so you can convey financial matters to colleagues with different professional backgrounds.
  • Have an independent, responsible and curious approach to task solving.
  • Have a good eye for development and optimization opportunities.
  • Contribute positively to the professional and social community in Finance.
