About the job

Do you want to work with the municipality's financial management and help create overview, security and quality in some of the municipality's most central financial processes?

We are extremely busy in Finance and Payroll. The municipality's financial reality is becoming increasingly complex, and we experience a growing demand for analyses, coordination and financial sparring. Therefore we are creating a new position as financial controller.

The position is for you who thrive on combining analytical financial work with coordination, development tasks and advisory. You must be able to see interconnections across systems and processes, create structure in complex problems and translate financial analyses into decision bases that can be used in practice.

Your main tasks

  • Administration of the municipality's wealth management
  • Liquidity forecasting and ongoing follow-up
  • Administration of loans, guarantees, sureties and deposits
  • Administrator in relation to the municipality's banking relationships
  • Coordination of accounting reporting and year-end close
  • Preparation of analyses, notes and decision papers for the management
  • Controlling tasks regarding LetBetaling and Payment Plans in cooperation with Invoice Processing
  • Coordination of the municipality's LOS group
  • Project work regarding organisational data, chart of accounts and functional systems
  • Implementation responsibility for relevant KOMBIT projects in the department

As financial controller you will have a broad role with responsibility for some of the municipality's central financial areas.

Sometimes you are the specialist who ensures the management of loans, guarantees, liquidity and wealth management. At other times you are the analyst translating complex financial issues into clear recommendations. And often you are the sparring partner supporting the management with analyses, notes and decision papers.

You must be able to maintain an overview in complex processes while also paying attention to detail when it comes to financial dispositions, risks and data quality.

An important part of the job is also to contribute to the development and alignment of the municipality's financial and administrative processes, so we create more robust workflows and better coherence between organization, data and systems.

We are looking for someone who

  • are a sharp communicator who can translate the complex into short and easy-to-understand messages
  • have solid understanding of financial management and financial processes
  • can unravel complex interrelationships and create structure
  • work independently, in a structured and detail-oriented way
  • have strong collaboration skills and find it natural to build relationships across the organization
  • preferably have experience from banking, auditing or a central finance function in a larger organization

We do not necessarily expect that you have worked with all tasks before. On the other hand we expect that you are curious, quick to learn and can translate new knowledge into concrete solutions.

Your educational background can vary and is not decisive for us, but we imagine you have a strong economic understanding and experience with economic analyses and processes.

Therefore you should choose us

You get a central role focusing on controlling and development, where there will never be two identical days. You have a wide contact surface and the opportunity to influence how we work with reporting, implementation of digital solutions and controlling in the financial area.

You become part of Finance, which is located in Finance and Payroll, which among other things handles the municipality's accounts receivable and accounts payable ledgers, the municipality's invoice handling and other exciting tasks within the financial area. We work closely with the rest of Finance and Payroll to support financial management. We have a strong professional community where it is natural to help each other, and where we place emphasis on courage, responsibility and integrity.
